I took a look at most of the Sixers-Celtics game, and it looks like we may have signed the better of the Sixers’ centers!
As of yesterday you could still find the Cavs over/under at 57.5, and I love the under as much as any bet out there. Last year I said the same about their over FWIW.
The East is going to be regular season easy but playoff hard. We might get an easy first round opponent as the 1 seed but as soon as you hit the second you’re going to be in a war whether it’s Orlando, Cleveland, Atlanta, Detroit, or Milwaukee. Those are all tough playoff teams.
The Hawks in particular look like they could be dangerous if Porzingis, Daniels, and Johnson are healthy. That’s a helluva two-way trio. I’m Risacher agnostic but there’s probably potential for him to improve greatly this year. They strike me as an Indiana-seque team that shows glimpses in the regular season but puts it together in the playoffs. I’ll be surprised if Donnie doesn’t leave his man again and jump into bed with them by the spring. They’re also a great trade partner for Milwaukee if Giannis asks out; Young + Risacher + picks would probably get it done and make the Hawks favorites in the East. So go Bucks. Stay put, Giannis.
