That’s from the second article linked to above. On the one hand, it’s not surprising to learn this, because if Brunson protested, I don’t know if Leon fires Thibs. But it’s still a little surprising, just given the closeness of Jalen and Thibs.
Don’t forget the Thibs-Mikal tiff. Plus likely other grumblings. Jalen would know the locker room better than anyone. Not protesting seems like an example of putting the team before his personal feelings.

Slow sunday… when does the training camp begin? Maybe we’ll have KB at full force by then. Hopefully with some posters M.I.A during the summer coming back… Max, Bruno, KYN, and there’s more, i think. Well, i wasn’t M.I.A but i rarely engaged, i guess when the discussion is about end of bench players we know the team is good and there isn’t the same need to say what i’d do. I trust Leon on this.
I’m probably inaccurately and inappropriately enthusiastic about Deuce’s comment re Brown inserting ‘movement’ into the Knicks. After a decade plus of iso-ball, from Melo to Julius to Jalen, it’d be so nice to see the kind of ball movement we saw when Brunson was out briefly last year.
And trust me, I love me some Jalen. But cuts and quick passes make my heart soar.
Not only that, it uses more of his skill set because offensively he is at least as good off the ball as he is with it in his hands. He can be used without getting clubbed like a baby seal 94 feet every possession.

Thankfully Yankees are playing their best at the end of the season but it might not be enough to win the division. Still just like last year they’re clearly the best team in the AL so even if they have to play a Wild Card series they really should return to the World Series this year.
Can’t believe I’m saying that considering how bad they’ve looked at times this year but thankfully the AL is just as weak as the East in the NBA.

Media Day is Wednesday, training camp opens on Thursday for Knicks and other teams with preseason games overseas. First preseason game is October 2 at NOON NY time so around dinner time for you, cyber!
And yeah, would be nice to see more voices here on KB, especially from overseas. Anyone going to the games in Abu Dhabi?

Well I think it’s 8:00 PM Abu Dhabi time so there’s that!
I’m seeing it now, the first game is thursday Oct 2nd 12PM ET (5PM here), and i’ll be at work. The second game is saturday Oct 4th 11AM ET (4PM here), and of course i can watch it, it’s the weekend. 😉

Honestly that Bears flea flicker is enough satisfaction to last me the rest of this season.

Is the NFL roster crunch really so tight that it doesn’t make sense to carry an emergency kicker? I guess so, just seems odd given how SOL teams are when theirs gets hurt.
When Dan Reeves was Giants head coach he used to have 2 kickers active, Brad Daluiso was used only for kickoffs and 50+ yd FG attempts.
Embarrassing ending to the 1st half by the Giants but what else is new.
God damn, my Daniel Jones stock is soaring.
The problem is the dopey GM who keeps relying on a 38 year old kicker who missed 10 and 7 games the previous two seasons. It doesn’t come as a big surprise when and often injured 38 yr old pops an adductor warming up.
Playing a game without a healthy kicker two years in a row could be random but it smells like incompetence.
Make that 3 yrs in a row.
