I’m no football expert but the Cowboys looked like a terrible matchup for the Jets yesterday.

The Cowboys have a very good pass rush.

The Jets have suspect offensive line.

The Jets have Zach behind #1 and #2.

The Jets were on a short week.

The Jets has super emotional win of the type that is often followed by a letdown.

The Jets were on the road.

Julius Randle has left CAA and signed with WME,
    @WME_Sports
announces. CAA had repped Randle since he came into the league.

    Let the speculation begin. 🙂

It’s worth noting but all the Knicks/CAA attempted Kremlinology tends to go nowhere. Most likely scenario is Julius Randle changed agencies for one of the million reasons professional athletes change agencies all the time.

What is there to speculate about?

Players generally don’t change agents unless they are unhappy with the way they’ve been handled, want to be traded, or have a new contract coming up and want to maximize their next deal.

The latter is not the case with Randle.

He has also been with CAA his entire career.

CAA was recently bought out. So maybe that was a contributing factor. He’s reuniting with the guy that handled him at CAA in the past. That suggests there’s not much to this. Still, Rose’s connection to CAA and players represented by CAA suggests there’s less of an incentive for him to keep him if his former agency and friends are not getting a piece of the action anymore. Whatever the probability of a trade was in the past, it’s a tad higher now.

Zach Wilson might be this generation’s Jay Cutler or Jeff George. He may never reach the on field heights of Cutler though. I think he’s super talented though. Even as a lifelong Cowboys fan, I felt bad for the kid. When you’ve got Parsons in your lap damn near every dropback, it’s a bad night for anyone. My Cowboys were lucky to avoid Rodgers for sure. I hope he comes back strong. I love Rodgers- hate how he toys with my favorite football team lol.

I don’t know what to make of Randle switching agencies though. One thing’s for sure, it means the end of team friendly contracts for Randle if he stays. Or at least the end for a possibility of one even being discussed

awww shoot…y’all making me wanna go search and watch that giants game now…

finally had the boys over, my nerves have calmed down a bit, what a blessing to have all 3 kids together – and to be able to give them my full attention…spent a bunch of time the last year or so focused on creating a functional (for five) living space that would allow me the opportunity to be at peace and live around others…it’s working thank goodness…

still shaky, got some hives stuff pretty bad now, it’s weird, looks like welts across my body…i remember when i first really tracking this stuff – lifted my shirt and it looked like the side of my body had been raked by some creature with long nails…i was already aware previously about the hives thing, so i know not to scratch, so the image was just odd…probably scratched in my sleep…

i kid a little when i say it feels like i got demons crawling up my ass (courtesy: Poet 🙂 )…the hives/welts stuff though, yeah, that used to shake me up a bit…just a thing now…

thankfully i’ve been able to adapt myself and my environment to make important stuff like parenting, my ma, my friends more doable…

most importantly i feel like i’m truly committed to being a better knicks fan…

oh, and go julius’ ankle – heal heal heal heal heal…

hopefully he still aggressively rebounds this season…if he can continue to shoot efficiently and get to the free throw line 7 times a game – that’s a force…

you would think he has a better idea this season as to what his optimal role is…when have a win now team finally this season…hopefully that follows through at least
    to the conference finals…

This article proposes a Fournier + DET 1st for Bogey swap, and I kind of like the idea?

Somewhat low-risk move that addresses our shotmaking issue. It’s almost certainly not going to happen because it would make an already crowded rotation that much more crowded, but I personally would strongly consider it. Whatever consolidation trade we have to make as a result of the rotation issues could probably come close to recouping the value surrendered for Bogey.

Bogey is at the age where he could fall off a cliff production wise at any time, but that’s why one of the most efficient high usage players in the sport is potentially available for a single protected first.

and I kind of like the idea?

We already have a wing glut that makes little sense to me. This would add a bit to it, but it’s not a bad idea because at 6′ 7″ he can at least play some backup PF. That would really stretch the floor.

Personally, I think they want to keep Fournier around for a bigger trade. I think he’s stuck here until the trade deadline.

One of Noble’s girls with a gratuitous swipe at the Knicks…

“As far as I’m concerned, we’ve been playing the best basketball that’s been played here in New York City for a very long time and whether people recognize it or not, they will in the next couple of weeks, so I’m excited to see what they have to say then.”

I mean, she’s not wrong. I’m pushing 30 and and have had the pleasure of watching exactly two playoff series wins.

I’m pushing 30 and and have had the pleasure of watching exactly two playoff series wins.

That’s my definition of loyalty, Noble, supporting the team even if the results don’t come. 🙂 Let’s hope you can add two more series wins by the end of this season. 😉

We have exactly 3 CAA guys, click on the link to see the list.

    Thibs also belongs to CAA.

(also Alan Houston and John Calipari who has had influence here)

I have shirts in my closet older than 30. Lucky you. 🙂

the liberty finished their season with an .800 winning percentage…yep, you can talk some shit then…

the mystic aren’t much better than the wiz…maybe it’s the water there…

hopefully the liberty continue to play well and make it in to the finals…if the sun make it past the lynx, they should give new york a good series…

it’ll be interesting to see if dallas and Arike can test the aces a little…

I think you’re missing the point. Let’s say 4, adding Thibs, what does that change? There’s 18 roster spots and 1 head coach (to add Thibs to the mix), so it’s 19 possible spots for CAA to fill. We have 4 and CAA is the bigger agency, i’d bet there’s a lot of teams with more than 4 CAA players/coaches.

NBA TV yesterday showed a replay of Randle’s game winning shot in Miami, forgot how absolutely incredible he was that game.

All of the concerns about CAA/Kentucky stuff has been way overblown from day one of the Leon regime, in that every effective front office relies on connections of one sort or another. If they are not, they are probably behind the curve.

“i’d bet there’s a lot of teams with more than 4 CAA players/coaches.”

Yeah, but how much would you bet? And at what odds? 😉

It was our 2 best players and our coach up until today. That’s pretty significant. Wasn’t Obi CAA also?

“It was our 2 best players and our coach up until today. That’s pretty significant.”

The question is, how significant? And in what way significant? Positive or negative?

Randle and Brunson are both signed to value deals relative to their performance. If CAA connections helped with that, hooray!

Donovan Mitchell wanted to come here but was not accommodated by Ainge.

There is no evidence of either players not wanting to come here because they weren’t CAA or Knicks not interested players because they weren’t CAA.

So if the relationship is helping but not hurting, why should anyone be concerned about it?

I have really enjoyed Winning Time but man they wrapped that up faster and more abruptly than Game of Thrones.

The CAA stuff was creepy back in the Chris Smith days, but there doesn’t seem to be much smoke now.

just looked at the g-men’s schedule – holy shit…and then they finish with philly in 2 out of the last 3 games…yikes…let’s see if they can win 8 more games this season…
