2016-17 Game Thread: Knicks @ Hornets

It is very difficult for teams to win both ends of a back-to-back/home and home series (provided their opponent isn’t actively tanking – and even there, you’d be surprised at how difficult it is to even beat a tanking team twice in two days), so if the Knicks lose tonight, that won’t really tell us much either way about this team. But if they win, then hoo boy, that would be amazing and that would say a lot about this team. So, well, let’s hope that they win. :) Let’s go, Knicks!

2016-17 Game Thread: Knicks vs. Hornets

Pulling this completely out of my ass, but I would think that it would have to be beneficial to be the home team in the first game of a home and home series. Doesn’t that just seem like it makes sense? You have the better chance of winning the first game and then you’re playing with a game in hand for the next game. So I think it is a good thing that the Knicks start tonight’s home and home at MSG. Home and homes are weird, by the way. I don’t get the purpose of them. It’s not like …continue reading

2016-17 Game Thread: Knicks vs. Trailblazers

Tonight is a very interesting game as the Knicks try to get to .500 on the season. The Portland Trailblazers are a lot like the Knicks so far, middling offenses but with terrible defenses. The Trailblazers are actually at the very bottom of the NBA in defensive efficiency right now. So, playing at home, the Knicks should win this game, but boy, the Blazers’ guards are scary. The Knicks handled them last season, so let’s hope that they handle them tonight! Let’s go, Knicks!
