2026-27 Game Thread: Knicks@ Bulls – One More Cup of Coffee (Before I Go)

The Knicks head to Chicago for one more cup of coffee, which, in the case of this extremely strained metaphor, means one more win to their win total, which would put them right back on track for my 58 win prediction.

The Bulls are a fucking MESS, man.

Let’s go, Knicks!

The (way too early) narrative on Wilson is that he’s pretty nice for a rookie, but really, he’s been kinda bad, on sky-high usage. The Bulls just have no one else worth giving the rock to. I say let him keep chucking tonight. You’re not gonna lose to his sub-50 TS% on 28%+ usage and crappy shooting from three.

We’re back to doing the Dylan quotes?

That video of Caleb cheering on and going crazy over Brunson at a Finals game is pretty endearing tbh.

Wilson’s numbers as a rookie will probably be mediocre-to-bad, but I’m a full believer in the tools. Watching him move on a basketball court is kind of terrifying.

Caleb rocks and I will not tolerate any slander. He’s going to be the best player in the draft (I am an UNC alum and a massive homer.) The only thing missing from his kit is the three, and occasional lapses in defensive awareness. Both are eminently fixable.

Defense soft so far, and Mikal has two quick fouls. Lots of easy buckets here for the crappy Bulls

The Wizards while tanking last season showed more effort on defense than the Knicks have shown these first 4 mins.

And KAT is down. But now he’s up.

Fuck, holding his wrist. Let’s go Andre!

KAT to the locker room. Looked like he was opening and closing his hand and rotating his wrist though so I dunno

Drummond looking hapless trying to guard utterly ass basketball player Leonard Miller in space

KAT’s back in, and hoping to see Kolek build on a promising start to the season…

OG once again showing he slept through the layup lanes in practice… going back to high school…

Kolek is close to being soooo good. His court vision and passing remain excellent, his defense and handle are both improved and his control over the offense is terrific. All that’s left is shot consistently and I’m not sure how you keep him off the court. And this is coming from the biggest Alvarado fan here. I’d play them together.

Now Shamet twists his ankle. And that one did look kinda bad although he did get to the locker room on his own volition

OG concussion? We’re dropping like flies out there!

Edit: OG is fine, thank God.

Deuce can’t make a shot to save his life but he’s the rare Knicks who’s at least trying defensively tonight.
