Morning Thread

Couldn’t watch last night. Seems better I didn’t.

Whatever – Knicks in five.

At least something good happened in the NBA last night….

It was an annoying loss last night, but the post-championship aura definitely softens things.

I think we’ve experienced enough Mikal Bridges ups and downs to not be all that worried about him. He’ll bounce back in a game or two.

Drummond is not impressing. Not that Mitch is having a good start either, but the needle on the concern meter is definitely moving rightward.

Jayson Tatum looked 100% back. Good for him.

Queta with the corner 3. What’s up with that?

We were right there, Knicks style, on a small comeback in the end. We turned a 12 pt deficit in a 1pt game quite fast. But in the end Tatum made his FGs and Brunson did not. I guess that is it. I’m not worried.

I think it’ll take time, maybe 10 or 20 games, for them to take the games more seriously. Right now, i can see they know that if it was the playoffs, they’d be playing a lot better and we would win. Of course what they’re not thinking about is that the opponent might be doing the same to a degree. But hey, they’re the reigning champions, who can blame them to start like this?

Drummond is a guy who is going to be unplayable in certain matchups .

I would love to see what Towns could do with 20 shots a night when he is rolling . Seems like his FGA are always capped despite how well he is shooting.

I knew a championship hangover was a possibility (a bounce). These guys spent most of the summer partying, doing media appearances and focusing on things other than working on their games. Brunson was also recovering fom surgery. There had to be come kind of emotional and physical hangover. It’s going to take awhile before they get going. I’m not worried about the Knicks. I’m worried about how good some of the other teams look.
