Gonna be another day of crackerbarrelblogger.net today?
i’ve long wondered how this blog sat virtually silent for decades while the entire family dining industry was decimated, despite obviously containing the collective know-how to have saved every last straggler. picadilly and luby’s? sure, i get it, attention is scarce and a little chum in the water might be good for morale. but the mfers came for sizzler, ryan’s and o’charleys and nary a goddamn word here. do you know how many augusts have passed here without a single post that could have prevented the decline of friendly’s, shoney’s, benningan’s, tgi friday’s, perkins or ponderosa? the bastards got to ruby fucking tuesday! and why? because it’s a little off topic from bouncy ball? got news for you pal. neither frank ntilikina nor isiah thomas are going to reheat your mac and cheese at 4pm on a saturday for $6.99.

Decimating the family dinner culture as well still possible? The view from Israel, following a pint of delicious apple sider in fabulous Vilnius, where unfortunately people root against Jokic in the Eurobasket.
KP scored 5 clutch points for Latvia, and they narrowed a 10 point deficit at the last moments, but Jokic answered with a 3 and 2 free throws to close it down.
I only watched the ending but KP did not look anemic. He also had a clutch bloc of a 3 attempt.
This blog is a vast reservoir of knowledge on so many topics that I am surprised there any large societal problems we haven’t fixed yet.
Sure we can figure out affordable housing by the end of Labor Day.
Personally, I saved a chain of restaurants in the late 80s, but legally I’m not allowed to tell you which one.
I may have singlehandedly kept White Castle afloat during my early 20’s…
Before I dropped a bunch of weight a few years ago, I was giving Popeyes a ton of business on the fried chicken sandwich. Maybe not enough to single-handedly keep them afloat, but close.
My kingdom for a Fribble.
Popeyes is one of the few fast food places I’ll go to if I’m not in an airport or on a highway. Their fish sandwich is surprisingly good when they have it.
grew up on the south middle part of long island, not a lot of fast food places, or grocery stores nearby early on…
grandparents lived in oceanside though, a not so far walk from nathan’s, even better a white castle about a town away…
huge treats as a kid…
Luka Doncic, who does look in shape, scored 39 points for Slovenia in 35 minutes, but was -8 overall and Slovenia lost to France 103 to 95 after being up 54 to 47 over France at the half. Will this be the story of the Lakers this season?
I was trying to impress my future in-laws back in the early days of my courtship with Lady Walsh and took them to the Rainbow Room when they visited us NYC… my grandmother-in-law-to-be said it was “good, but not as good as Red Lobster”. I proposed the next day.

Before taco bell sold out to Pepsi in 1986…it was the shit…ate that all the time…
Not to be disrespectful to your positive childhood experiences, Pepper, but I’m glad I read “it was the shit” late at night rather than first thing in the morning when I would have shot coffee out my nose all over the keyboard…
