Big game at 1:00, BOS vs. CLE, it’s one of those games where there has to be a winner and a loser, so I guess I’ll root for CLE even though that sucks to do.

Good morning, all. We’re literally equidistant from the Celts and the Cavs (1.5 games) in the standings, so either result would have the exact same effect, IMHO. Otherwise, I’d always go with hoping whichever team is closer to us in the standings does the thing would help us the most (move closer to us if they are above us and move further from us if they are below us).

I cannot think of any scenario for the first 81 games of the regular season where rooting for the Celtics is appropriate. Game 82 where a Celtic win propels us into the play-offs is a possibility–and even that is iffy.

This last stretch is going to determine whether we finish 2, 3, or 4. Other than finishing 2nd for homecourt in the first two rounds (and the conference finals if DET get knocked off) I don’t really have a strong preference. I think DET, BOS, and CLE are all about equal and none should be more feared. It would be most stressful to play the Celtics in the second round because of how much I despise them, but I truly wonder whether we actually might have a better chance to beat them than the other two. None of Queta, Scheierman, Walsh, Garza, or Hugo have any playoff experience and Vuc is 35 and going to be recovering from finger surgery with little time to acclimate to Tatum being back.

Meanwhile, I think all of ORL, PHI, MIA, ATL, and CHA can be tough 1st round outs for any of the top 4 seeds.

So while I despise the Celtics’ laundry the most, the Lakers are close behind, and I think I actively dislike their current roster more. So today’s game will have an edge to it. As always, win it for cdiggy…

Agree with Z-man in that I have no preference who we face and when. Plus, with less than 6 weeks to go before the playoffs we are now at the point where we need to manage the most important stat for us in game 1 –the number of players suited up and injury-free.

My preference is to avoid the Pistons until the ECF, so I’d prefer to finish 2nd or 3rd. 1st round I don’t have a preference, except maybe teams that play at a slower pace, is there any? Miami? But they have Spo.

The Cavs are very good, but the Celtics are a serious problem with Tatum looking this good already.

Cavs came out fast, but went into a coma as soon as the Celtics took their shot and came right back. Cavs may still be too soft.

Noticed Tatum has no lift (yet), but that’s to be expected I suppose. He’s playing really well otherwise.

The Cavs are 2-22 from 3. Ouch. Hope we don’t have another one of those games

wonder how long before the celtics are in first place…how in the heck are they this good with such a top heavy salaried roster…

    life’s not fair…

What a joke the Cavs are. They are good, but I have no fear of that team.

    lebron out for today…

That could arguable be a plus for the Lakers as long and Doncic and Reeves are playing. 😜

howdy cyber, I hope all is well for you today…see ya got some cloudy weather…

when i came back home to the local area a couple of weeks ago it had just finished raining for a couple of weeks here…

it was soooooooo amazing how crystal clear the air was, the mountains were so easy to see…beautiful…only lasted for a bit less than a week, magnificent though…

still, winter in so cal can be like some of the nicest weather you’ll find anywhere…
