Hey Alan – how was Bug? Going to see it in January

It’s… interesting, d-mar. I got the main thing I was interested in, which was to see Carrie Coon — whose performance in The Leftovers is one of the greatest I’ve ever seen on television — act up a storm on the stage. And the production design is very cool, particularly in the second act. But the play is an odd mix of tones that I’m not sure ever entirely fit together. Definitely glad I saw it, but it’s a flawed object.

I loved Carrie Coon in The Leftovers, and in pretty much everything else she’s in. Great actress.

Thanks Alan. She was good in White Lotus too, although I didn’t care much for the season itself.

I’m on the “Carrie Coon is great” train too. And The Leftovers was great. Seems like it was yesterday… i’m getting old, stuff from 8 years ago is super recent to me. 😀

Yeah, Coon is always great. Leftovers is just her best thing. Definitely worth seeing Bug to see her.

In Westchester, Dadiet scored 28 points on 15 shots, including 5-10 from 3, bringing his full season 3p% to .375.

However, he grabbed 1 rebound & had 0 assists in 37 minutes.

Dadiet is 20, he can definitely have a breakthrough this season or the next. We should be patient, and if he doesn’t, move on.
Of course, if some team values him on a trade we want to make, we should do that.

AND THEN get congratulated for pretty mediocre Knicks and Dylan knowledge:

He did better than me. I wouldn’t recognize Quincy Acey if he was sitting in my living room.

If Quincy Air Conditioning was wearing a Quincy Acy jersey in Madison Square Garden, I still wouldn’t know who he is. The others were pretty easy.

My mind jumped to Kyle O’Quinn who had the same beard/bald combo and I’m pretty sure was on the Knicks a lot longer

About to see Marty Supreme. It’s still a bit weird to see someone I used to watch Al Harrington and Chris Duhon from the nosebleeds with be so successful, but we always knew he’d make it.

The Raiders are hands down the worst team in the NFL, but they are undefeated at fucking up their tank. They will find a way to beat the Giants, I’m certain of it.

I think Dart is showing a mix of 1)rookie growing pains, 2)tentativeness post-concussion (and may still be somewhat injured), and 3)struggling to make anything happen with one of the worst collections of skill players the NFL has ever seen. Or, at least, that’s my hope.

On the other hand, it’s hard to have hope when there was reporting this week that 1)John Mara was still considering keeping Schoen if the team won a couple of its final games; and 2)Mara is dead-set on hiring a retread coach, because he’s failed with so many recent assistants. Never mind that he also failed with a retread in Pat Shurmur, and he’s had such incompetent GMs making the recommendations that they haven’t even interviewed any of the assistants who have gone on to become great head coaches.

I just can’t with this team.

Maybe the Giants do need to draft a QB.

He got smaked around like a pinball all day with Thomas, Runyan and then Schmidt all out. He got the Daniel Jones full monte today and his offense was also outschemed by the Viking defense. They never figured out a way to block it up the entire day.

Dart was sacked 5 times and 2 other sacks were called back by helmet to helmet sack/personal fouls in 18 drop backs. Not a single clean pocket the entire game.

    Did you watch the game?

It’s sad that that guy was probably correct that only 75% of Knick fans could identify Stephon Marbury, and only 50% could identify David Lee.
