I know Yabu has been disappointing so far but I feel like Brown should have played him more last night. Players tend to play a little harder and better against former teams.

Only the Cup hangover is saving you from our scorn, BC.

I mean, we’re likely to lost 25-30 games, so this one was as good as any. Clearly Brunson and OG were shot, and KAT and Hart are probably still a bit nicked up. Kolek was due for a coming down to earth game. We were Clyde’s quintessential stumbling and bumbling out there. The Sixers fielded a young, athletic, talented team with fresh legs. Drummond did something I would have bet the house on never seeing him do by swishing three spot-up 3’s as if he had been making ’em his whole life.

Not even 26 minutes of Mitch absolute brilliiance could save us.

Maybe it’s the basketball gods punishing us for not hanging that fucking banner? Karma’s a bitch!

I went to see a Broadway show, Bug. Glad I didn’t have to watch the guys look exhausted against the fucking 76ers.

Yeah, I don’t think there’s even any good lessons to take from that loss other than yadda yadda Cup yadda. Kolek’s bad play was mostly because it was the worst group of insane jitterbugs to play against — hopefully he’ll learn there are teams you can throw the rock around against, and others you have to be extra careful with.

Big deal, now crush the Heat.

We would have been on a 60 win pace had we won last night. Now we’re on the 58 win pace that you asked for instead. So you gotta think of that, too, Brian. (That’s a vague “Why’d Beno pass him the ball?” callback, in case you missed it.)

Honestly my biggest takeaway from that game was that the Sixers’ backcourt (Edgelord and Maximus) are going to be a severe problem very soon. If I were them, I’d trade all their vets for picks asap because they’re crazy good at drafting.

one thing that really stands out about maxey is how hard he consistently works on defense for a small, massive usage offensive player. i mean, it’s hard to even imagine watching a playoff game and seeing lillard or mitchell or even steph sprinting full speed around every dho just to ball deny mikal bridges, but maxey is doing it in the third quarter of a random december game. it doesn’t make him a great defender but it makes a difference. they need to study his krebs cycle for possible fusion.

interesting afternoon game today: rockets at nuggets…

the sengun versus jokic matchup is maybe the best one on one basketball in the league right now…

    Mitch in the Post:
“I’m trying to stop everybody from doing that hacking and s–t,” he said. “So that’s kind of the main goal because I wouldn’t be able to play the fourth quarter, you know what I mean? The longer I’m out there, the more I help my teammates.”

What’s annoying is that we were trying hard to move up in that draft to pick Maxey. We can be good at drafting too! We just don’t do it much.

It has taken him 7 years to figure this out and try to do something about it?

LOL. If he was serious, he’d be going with the underarm free throw.

Was delighted by his success at the line last night but that was about as much of a schedule loss as a schedule loss can be.

I’m become totally addicted to 1st amendment audit vids…wildlife examination at its finest…

I had zero idea what this was 🙂 Seems like an odd way to spend a lovely Saturday afternoon.

Hey Alan – how was Bug? Going to see it in January
