The Knicks head to Boston for a nice little test against a feisty Boston Celtics team.

Luckily, the Celtics are pretty damn small, so KAT should be able to dominate in the middle.

Seems to have improved over last season by a fair amount. He’s scoring about 10 more PPG than last season in his 3 games.

I was getting a little restless, because i was agreeing with Hubert a lot more, but the trade Brunson for Giannis idea has restored the balance again. LOL

NBC is Peacock. Just another stupid name for it.

seems the west coast folks only get the second game of these peacock/NBC doubleheaders they broadcast…

so we get the thunder/warriors later, not the early game…although if you have the peacock app (i don’t), should be there…

Raven…if you are on a computer it might be that whomever is supplying your internet access is located in either of the local broadcast zones and so the nbc app believes you are there and hence preclude from viewing on the national feed….

Never mind…geo probably solved it

The Tatum doubters are having a hard time seeing how the Celtics are without him.

The shots are falling, but Knicks are struggling a bit with the switch everything defense by Boston.

Doing hack a Mitch in the 1st quarter of a regular season game in December is the biggest pussiest shit I’ve ever seen.

But getting destroyed on the offensive boards by Boston is even more pathetic than doing hack a Mitch…

Raven, if it’s a location issue on your laptop, install a VPN (I use NordVPN) which spoofs your location. It may work but you need to pick the right “server”. I think there’s a trial version.

I thought the away-from-the-play foul was only Q4 but I guess it was changed and I missed it. They need to go back to 3 to make 2 when a team is over the limit again. The ‘hack-a-someone’ play is pure BS.

VPN is the solution, Raven. I used one enough in my travels that I ended up buying it, and it’s been very helpful. I use ExpressVPN.

One thing NBA has that i don’t have here is that a Knicks fan can go to a game in Boston and be among Celtics fans that it’s normal. I can’t go to Lisbon to our rivals home and be among them, we go to a zone exclusively for our supporters.

How do you take Deuce or Hart out of the starting lineup right now…?

That second quarter was a complete shit show, outscored 37-20. Total collapse and lack of poise.

I listened to the KFS pre-game pod with Noa Dalzell of Celtics Blog. One thing she pointed out (not that we didn’t already know it) is that Mazz’s offensive game plan calls for relentlessly targeting the opponent’s weakest link on defense. That’s in clear view right now…it was mostly isolating Brown on Brunson, or targeting KAT in the PnR, or Derrick White on Kolek.

On D, they are clearly not gonna let KAT punk them and he’s doing a lousy job of passing out of doubles. The refs are letting them play, and KAT is getting flustered by fouls. Also not surprisingly, Mazz is a non-believer in Hart’s 3pt shot, he’ll probably live or die with it.

I’m not too worried about this game as a marker because the Celts have that new car smell. They will eventually will be figured out and the film will get around.

Josh Hart is a head case out there. He nonchalantly flipped a rebound to the wrong guy, then doubled needlessly on Brown, leaving Derrick White open for 3.

Brunson singlehandedly lost this game for the Knicks, might be his worst game of his Knicks career.

Mikal has. A 66 TS this season. He can’t be taking 12 shots a game.. he needs more shots . What strat was saying last season about his role in the offense seems very true now. He doesn’t get enough shot attempts.

This team still has to learn how to deal with adversity. The hack-a-Mitch strategy in the first quarter disrupted our rhythm, the shots stopped falling, and then there were several no-calls by the officials in the second quarter that affected the team’s effort. We had no answer to Boston’s physical play and we were outhustled, outplayed, and humbled for two quarters. Valued effort in the fourth. That gives me hope. This team still has to learn how to deal with adversity. That’s on the coaching staff.

Bridges was tremendous and this balances out Brunson’s horrible outing. I don’t think Mike Brown had a good coaching night either. He was always behind the curve and late to react. The paint was open, Jalen Brown and the Celtics were getting anything they wanted for two quarters, and I don’t understand why he didn’t get the ball out of Jalen Brown’s hands earlier.

Mazz coached a great game. KAT’s numbers look a lot better than he actually played. Brunson was completely neutralized. They were 36-47 from 2 despite having one legit big who is a journeyman while we have Mitch and KAT. Brown has some splainin’ to do.

In the last 10 days, Celts have now beaten the Knicks, Cavs, Pistons and Magic and lost a nail-biter to the Wolves on the road. When their starters are healthy they’re pretty good!

3. I knew Bridges was going to better this year if used correctly on both sides, but he’s outperforming even my bullish stance. Bravo!

4. Combinations of Brunson, Kolek and Clarkson are a problem defensively against a team that knows what they are doing. We miss Shamet. He’s not a stopper, but he’s better than those guys defensively. Him and one of the others is better defensively than any combination of the others.

5. I don’t want to take too much away from this game other than my primary concern remains defense in general, backup PG and especially exploitable combinations with the Gs mentioned above and Towns.

Holy crap that’s a helluva name from the past! Faried is 36 but hasn’t played in the NBA since 2019.

The Clippers just abruptly cutting Paul is so fucked up.

The Knicks don’t have room to sign him, right? It’d be nice to see him get his first ring here (yes, he is washed, but I still would like to see him get a ring).
