Assuming KAT, Mitch, Deuce, and Yabu are all playing tonight, which starting lineup are you expecting: four main starters with Mitch at C, or four main starters with Deuce at SG? I have to assume Mitch will be on a minutes restriction if he plays. But maybe Brown will want to start out with twin towers regardless, just to see how it looks against a team that’s been surprisingly good and feisty so far.

Also, revisiting yesterday’s discussion of games on local TV vs national, I’m selfish, in that my cable company no longer carries MSG, and Gotham Sports is too expensive and buggy for me to use. So I pretty much only get to watch national games. The more the merrier for me, even if it means I don’t get to see/hear Clyde and Breen together.

The Morning News has risen from the dead, and it’s fitting that it happened on Halloween. LOL
    Thanks Mike! 🙂

The only Knicks YouTube channel I follow, Mike, is the Knicks Film School one. And even there, I’m more likely to listen to the podcast versions the next day.

This Mitch situation is really..unfortunate, to be nice about it lol. I wish we knew exactly what is going on, especially with KAT being hobbled. Huk’s not quite ready for an expanded role, and Yabusele doesn’t look right either. I would argue that Mitch might be our 3rd most important player, right above KAT and right below OG. But for sure, we need all 3 plus Brunson healthy and effective. On top of all that, Hart is a little hobbled too. Kinda dampens the enthusiasm for me. It is a long season though, so there’s no need to panic I suppose. I just hope whatever they are doing keeps guys upright and available for the playoffs. As far as tonight’s game goes, Chicago has the best record so it’s gonna be a tough game. I hope it’s a little fluke-ish by way of early season adrenaline, and we can get out to a lead and get our guys some breaks to let the unproven pieces get some more burn. The way we played against Miami and Milwaukee doesn’t give me a ton of hope though. Still, I think our process on both ends of the floor is really good- the guys just need to get used to executing it night in and night out. Hopefully this team will find their groove by mid-November.

So any Knicks youtube channels you all like/dislike? Let me know

KFTV and KFS every time I get a noti. I do enjoy Begley’s Putback and Dexter Henry’s content. The rest of what I’ve seen are informative sometimes, but I find them mostly dry and 125% speculation/video game roster builders. The Strickland is kinda dope too

I would argue that Mitch might be our 3rd most important player, right above KAT and right below OG.

So far this year, Mikal has easily been our second-best player.

Huk had a few shifts in the first couple of games where he looked like he could hold his own at least on the defensive end, then he has some shifts where it looked like there was no chance he would ever be able to successfully throw a basketball into a basket. So I don’t know. I hope he’s getting a lot of reps at practice, because it seems like there are some things he can do, and that he’s not all that far away from being able to provide cromulence as a 10 mpg backup center.

Huk’s counting numbers, this year and last year, are pretty bad. Obviously not the end all be all for a guy we just want to come in and play competent defense, but 7pts/36 and 8.5rebs/36 really pushes the limit unless he’s really a dynamo on defense. Not a large sample but rebounding doesn’t have a huge variance like 3pt shooting.

If he’s ready (which i doubt), i think Mitch will start because Vuc has been killing it so far.
The Bulls will be tough because they have two legit PGs (look at what Tre Jones is doing), athletic youngsters, and some guys who can get hot from outside the arc. I’m expecting to be disappointed.

at least theres no coby white he killed us last season hitting an inordinate number of 3s

Ayo Dosunmu and Giddey have been on fire from beyond the arc, which generally hasn’t been the case. Hope they cool off tonight. Even if they have improved, I’m doubting Giddey is a 43% shooter and Ayo will keep hitting 50% of his 3s.

So far this year, Mikal has easily been our second-best player.

Oh for sure! By far. Bridges is probably our most consistent all around player considering Brunson’s shot isn’t yet falling at its natural clip

not sure why you dont think that jalens shot is falling at its natural clip hes shooting .483 he shot .488 last season hes shooting .489 for his entire career and .485 for his career with the knicks seems like .483 is right there

Well Jalen’s three-point shot is at 31% when he’s 39% for his career. Not worried about it, just noting.

oh yeah for sure his threes have been pretty horrific as they have been for the entire team they all need to step that up especially if theyre going to shoot their new normal amount of them wow jalen only hit 28 percent on 3s in the preseason

    Expected Lineup
    PG Jalen Brunson
    SG Mikal Bridges
    SF OG Anunoby
    PF K. Towns Prob
    C M. Robinson Ques

    C K. Towns Prob
    F G. Yabusele Prob
    C M. Robinson Ques

I’d be a little surprised (but perhaps delighted) if Mitch starts, given the layoff. Regardless I’d expect to see a fair amount of Huk, especially given what a load Vuc is. I hope Huk gets past the little sophomore slump he seems to be in…

That’s what I was thinking about. Everything else JB does is working..but his 3 ball hasn’t come around yet. Maybe he’s just used to off the dribble 3’s and he’s shocked that he’s getting less stressful looks lol

dang, this sports watching stuff is getting complex…

so, just cancelled the youtubetv sub…they lost the espn and abc networks…

trying to figure out now how to adjust my disney +/hulu/espn + subscription…ugh…

they used to have this hulu live tv thing…tried adding it thru hulu, but the way things are set up for the account i need to make changes at disney +, however they don’t offer a hulu live tv bundle option, they used to, but no more…

for about an extra $10 or so on my disney + sub i’ll get “all” espn content…however, no more access to the major networks which still carry a bunch of sports events…

hmmmm, went ahead and cancelled the disney plus sub and tried to re-sub through hulu…looks like the account though is unable to make changes until the current billing period ends at the end of november for some reason…okay…

so, either wait a month or start a new account, i hate starting new accounts, maybe better to be patient until the current sub stuff runs out…sadly, my patience for being patient is somewhat limited…

i know, i should really just throw all the screens i got out a window…do myself a favor…

    wow!!!

look at you mister mike k. – so very fancy sir 👏

I’m as likely to watch as read something reference knicks these days…

the official youtube knick channel itself will often have some of the best of the player interviews:
    https://www.youtube.com/@NYKnicks/videos

knicks bleacher report is another frequent stop for consolidated info…

mitch upgraded from questionable to probable!:
    Expected Lineup
    PG Jalen Brunson
    SG Mikal Bridges
    SF OG Anunoby
    PF K. Towns Prob
    C M. Robinson Prob

    C M. Robinson Prob
    C K. Towns Prob
    F G. Yabusele Prob

As much as I’d like to see Mitch start, could see Huk begin and throw his body at Vuc to get him off kilter. Flip to Mitch when the foul situation warrants.
