I was impressed that the Lithuania team had three Knicks related players, Jokubautas, who the Knicks have have draft rights to, and Brazdeikas and Kuzminskas who both played for the Knicks in the past.

You are trying to awake our grammar-kraken by misspelling Jokubaitis and Brazdeikis, right? 😀

Hey, I called the third one Kuzmingus the other day, perhaps as a tribute to my dad’s favorite jazz man?

I am terrible at Immaculate Grid, but at least the Knicks were one of the teams today, so I was guaranteed to get three right.

Nate Knight doesn’t count if anyone was wondering

“You are trying to awake our grammar-kraken by misspelling Jokubaitis and Brazdeikis, right?”

If we all started misspelling shit on purpose, I wonder how long it would take for Doogie to blow a gasket like Nomad on Star Trek…

EB, the player has to have played in a regular season game with the team to count. I learned that the hard way a while back when I tried to use Porzingis for Knicks/Celtics.

wait I got it, was the josh hart trade really worth it?

    Of course!!

However the early returns of the Hart at PF experiment is making it look like signing DD wont be worth it

caught up on the first few episodes of ahsoka…loving it so far…

it’s a Star Wars Rebels sequel…Rebels was an excellent show, like the Clone Wars animated show, it wasn’t exactly kid material all the time…

but, Rebels definitely felt more like it was geared towards younger audiences…

dave filoni (Rebels and Ahsoka guiding force) and rosario dawson have done a phenomenal job so far portraying her character…

even by the end of the clone wars series she was no longer anakin’s plucky padawan…

her character while not bitter, has definitely grown somber and a bit tired…

the animated stuff really leaned in on visual storytelling, it appears as though ahsoka is following suit…

one last thought – ray stevenson is hands down the best frank castle ever, actually the whole movie: war zone was awesome…

the other teams in this FIBA stuff seem to be going big…

a lot of lineups in the nba go small during the game…

the answer to usa’s rebounding and defense issues could be answered with adding julius and mitch to their roster for next summer…

the answer to usa’s rebounding and defense issues could be answered with adding julius and mitch to their roster for next summer…

A Bobby Portis/Walker Kessler lineup would fix a lot of issues, they were 6th & 8th in reb/36, JJJ & Paolo just aren’t great rebounders

You think I should rewatch Rebels before Ahsoka or is my hazy memory gonna be good enough?

I re-watched the ending of Clone Wars (season 7)…season 7 had a big focus on ahsoka, and then also introducing The Bad Batch…

yoda’s storyline from the ending of season 6 (Clone Wars), was also something to catch me up…

if anything, I may re-watch the pilot episode (it was a movie actually) for Clone Wars where ahsoka is first introduced…

I always forget her name, but the voice actor, for ahsoka really set the bar high for the character…

if anything, you may wanna re-watch the last storyline of Rebels if it’s been a while…the plot of this follows that…

Disney Infiniti produced some video game playsets for some Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars characters…zeb is definitely one of the cooler looking figures 🙂

I liked the Bad Batch when they appeared in other shows but the Bad Batch series itself I never really go into and quit after a few episodes

I remember not liking early Clone Wars, loving the Yoda arc, and really liking Rebels even though you could feel the skew towards a younger demographic a lot more than Clone Wars

I always forget her name, but the voice actor, for ahsoka really set the bar high for the character…

Just looked it up, apparently she’s Mrs. David Eckstein (or Ashley if you want to use her actual name)

I’m with you on The Bad Batch…

I actually enjoyed the obi-wan series, the mandalorian and bobba fett were no go’s…

I plan on watching Andor at some point, I really liked the story telling in rogue one…

yeah, ashley was unbelievable – ahsoka as an anti-jedi jedi character is perfect…

I love the fact that she was able to defeat darth maul (waaaaay underrated character from clone wars and rebels)…

general grievous is another character that really shines in clone wars…

I was always kind of bummed that Disney Infinity didn’t produce a grievous figure for the game…

hard to beat 4 lightsabers spinning at you…

i’m digging Ahsoka…i didn’t go back to update myself on the history though ….so probably not getting the full effect…

i also faded on Bad Batch…the heroine was a bit annoying….i think i did make it through all the episodes but slept through a few of them…

Andor is solid…i also liked Mandolorian …@geo…what was it that you didn’t like about it?

it was a cheap, b grade production which mimicked the animated style of storytelling, but did it poorly…

it just felt cheesy and cheap…took a glimpse of bobba fett and it had the same vibe…

I think my favorite episode was the one with nick nolte…I just thought it was so cool that he was some alien in star wars…

I also like the one episode where the little Yoda guy was eating those eggs…that was funny…

ahsoka has sooooo much eye candy…they really are doing a good job with the use of cgi…

speaking of sci-fi stuff, recently watched this swedish romantic comedy called Aniara…

left me thinking it must get really cold and dark in sweden…

I also like the one episode where the little Yoda guy was eating those eggs…that was funny…

Come on geo, get his name right. It’s Baby Yoda

its Grogu…i liked it because I think favreau did a nice job of not taking it too seriously..maybe the sets weren’t as killer as obi wan or andor but it was fine…

I like the Mandalorian, really enjoyed Andor, and hated Boba Fett (those mod mopeds 🤮)

And it’s definitely Baby Yoda 😉

I thought Andor was the best of those Disney Star Wars shows by a mile.

The episode of the Boba Fett show where the space mods fight against the space rockers was definitely a nadir. They have the little mirrors on their space Vespas and everything. At least lean into it and pay for the sync of “My Generation” once you’re that far into the bit.

I just got home to an unexpected Amazon box. Apparently I drunk ordered a hardcopy of Mannahatta two nights ago.

Hubert, you’ll have to tell me what you think after drunk reading it. The author’s an old friend (and I did like four days of research to help him in the early days…).

    hi raven, howdy hubie 🙂

I’m familiar with the author’s name, they’re a well known name in the geography field..

i worked in a bookstore that sold geography books…the human footprint is an important academic book…

read the summary – I’d be interested hubie what the “tone” of the book is…more celebratory or kind of paradise lost…

I’m a bit curious as to what’s going on underneath the island and in the surrounding water…

just read the other day the central coast of california was having challenges regarding their groundwater…salt water is seeping in…

thank goodness they have portable desalination units for only several thousand dollars…in case youever have to really drink the stuff coming out of your tap…

I blame that swedish flick for the grim thinking…
