    Donald Trump: thinks F-35s are invisible, thinks you need an ID to buy groceries, spent countless taxpayer dollars on a “voter fraud” commission that actually confirmed he lost the popular vote by millions, somehow went bankrupt running a casino, watches Fox News for hours on end.

    LeBron James: has a photographic memory, gives detailed interviews on the specific problems facing public education in low-income areas, is a marketing genius, is one of the smartest basketball players on the court anyone has ever seen.

    Kept it to the intellectual abilities of the respective men since that’s what President Big Boy went after, and because comparing them from a moral standpoint is the lowest hanging fruit that exists.

    I tip my hat to the guy. Great interview, mostly about politics.
    He may or my not be the GOAT, and I’m coming around on this because I think with a Pippen and a Rodman he’d have 8 rings by now, but he sure is a great person to have around in this country at this time.

    LeBron James is a pretty fantastic guy. I really wish there were more role models like him when I was growing up, would have made my life a lot easier probably.

    There’s a lot of PR involved but who cares, he could be sitting on his ass and enjoying his money without doing anything.

    The worst thing LeBron James has done? His management team ran a 75-minute egotistical TV special in which pissed off 29 fanbases while going to the franchise with perhaps the worst fans in basketball. Oh yeah, and it raised $6M for a local Boys and Girls Club and other charities.

    Jordan was the poster child of the me-first Eighties. I know which personality type I respect more.

    But hey, would you rather be a 6-time GOAT champion and a detestable psychopath, or a measly 4-time champion and be loved the world over? I’m a leftist who’s not competitive (as my eight-plus years of posting on here suggest) so I’d rather be the latter. Maybe if I were a baby boomer I’d have the balls to win at all costs, but alas I’m just an incel cuck beta. I’m actually a chessboard palooka: I sign up for tournaments to lose on purpose — you still win a participation trophy, and that’s what I’m all about!

    Given the players Jordan had around him LBJ would have had the titles too.

    Lebron “only” has three titles, right? Just making sure I didn’t miss one.

    Today’s KB discussion question:

    Who would you vote for for president in 2020 if it was a binary race between Donald Trump and Carmelo Anthony?

    Whoops! Only three titles. Half the man that Jordan was.

    I’d way rather be LeBron James than Michael Jordan. LeBron seems to enjoy his life while Jordan is a miserable petty dickhead. Jordan is basically Barry Bonds minus the ‘roids.

    I love the irony of a bunch of Melo sycophants criticizing those of us who would rather have money than accolades. That’s the M.O. of Melo’s whole career!

    Boy I really struck a nerve with you lefties. Capitalism is bad. Rich people are evil and greedy. Nobody needs so much stuff. You didn’t build that.

    But hey, show me da money!

    It’s also a joke that you’d rather have LeBron’s career than Jordan’s because LeBron plays fake intellectual and critcizes your favorite low hanging fruit boogeyman with MSNBC talking points. Ohhhhh he’s so brave and wowww he’s so smart. Truth to Power!
    Lmao

    LeBron plays fake intellectual and critcizes your favorite low hanging fruit boogeyman with MSNBC talking points.

    Actually, our favorite low hanging fruit boogeyman criticized LeBron James, who was on TV discussing the free school he just funded (you know, to make America a little less shitty again). But, yeah, your right, LeBron is clearly a fake intellectual (even faker than Don Lemon, right?).

    LeBron’s commendable altruism has broken 2for18. LeBron owns.

    @13

    Again, you have no idea why I would choose the money, but having no idea and still commenting like you know everything is basically the modus operandi of guys like you, so what’s new?

    Boy I really struck a nerve with you lefties.

    Your entire political philosophy, like that of the alt-right, is to troll as much as possible, with no actual policy positions whatsoever. Surprised? Not really.

    Capitalism is bad.

    I’m a capitalist. Whoops!

    Rich people are evil and greedy.

    #notallrichpeople

    Nobody needs so much stuff.

    Or how about “nobody needs to own so many politicians who are elected by the people, not corporations?” Hope that doesn’t hurt your feelings, snowflake.

    You didn’t build that.

    Obama’s biggest mistake there is using such a vague pronoun in that sentence. Truly a dumb error by a brilliant orator.

    In case you forgot (since you are the most obvious Breitbart dolt I’ve talked to in awhile, and we all know they aren’t a big fan of context) he was referring to public infrastructure, which is almost entirely financed by tax dollars, not private enterprise. Should we privatize road construction? I bet it’d be great if you had to pay Amazon a tax each time you used one of their highways. What a great America that’d be!

    But hey, show me da money!

    You’re probably a future rich person just mildly embarrassed that you’re just another one of us taxpayers. The rich, greedy, scummy, treasonous conservative swine you idolize wouldn’t give you the time of day and they don’t give a fuck about your interests. I’d bet that you’ll be dead before you realize that cold, hard fact.

    @17 yes I get it. You would do great things with your money so it’s ok for you to have it.
    That icky guy over there with all that dirty money? It’s NOT FAIR!. The state needs to take it and redistribute it.

    Again, you have no idea why I would choose the money, but having no idea and still commenting like you know everything is basically the modus operandi of guys like you, so what’s new?

    I’d want the money because (1) I like money and (2) I’d like for the Portland Chess Club to have a nice big mansion in Eastmoreland, Portland instead of a basement with dingy fluorescent lighting and also (3) I’ve been scheming to set up an anonymous scholarship at my alma mater with some of my salary, but $500/year doesn’t really go as far as $500,000 would, these days. Hell, if I had Carmelo’s money, I’d make sure the ACLU, Planned Parenthood and Southern Poverty Law Center had enough to make ends meet. Such a greedy git, aren’t we?

    Also fuck pride. Show me the money.

    The state needs to take it and redistribute it.

    Your strawman is looking a little dry.

    “#notallrichpeople”

    That exactly sums up my point. Rich people leftists like are dreamy. Rich people leftists don’t like are evil greedy pigs.

    The fact that you keep throwing fox news and breitbart at me, 2 places I don’t watch/read, is hilarious because you have nothing to say that I don’t hear on MSNBC.

    You probably don’t know this, but libertarians are not republicans. We believe in the NAP (non aggression principle) and that people are free to do whatever they want unless they’re infringing on someone else’s rights.
    Both the left and the right want to use the power of the State to tell me what to do; it’s just that each side has their own ideas of what I should be allowed to do, so they can all fuck off.

    Nah, I definitely didn’t pick that up as a subscriber to Reason. And I definitely haven’t read multiple books by David Boaz.

    I just want to open an institute to further research on social sciences in Brasil. I’m not Mother Teresa, I’m just a regular dude who wants stuff to be better for everyone and live my own life.

    I’m not a rich leftist and I’ve never been, so that shows how much you have no idea what you’re talking about and are just generalizing “sjw” and leftist ideas you hate. The traditional leftists are as much an enemy to me as you are, sir. I’m not gonna sit here and be a hypocrite and talk about not wanting the money when I do need it and I do think I would be able to do good things with it. I live in capitalism just as much as you do and I recognize my reality, instead of living in the fairy tale world of personal freedoms that you do, that’s never been mine to begin with.

    Well I’m glad you read Reason. Not sure how someone can subscribe to a libertarian magazine and support the SPLC. They can suck a bag of dicks.

    @26

    I’ve met some libertarians who were cool people, and understood the role of privileges and situations in life. However, yeah, most of them are just white heterosexual males who have been free to do whatever the crap they wanted their entire life without worries but are just hiding their hatred behind this morally charged idea of freedom above all costs.

    Try to live without complete freedom for a while and you’ll see the government controlling my actions is the least of my concerns nowadays.

    Perhaps you will figure out the secret to my superior intellectual robustness when you figure out why libertarians only care about issues that affect straight white men.

    Jesus Christ 29. So the NAP, liberty and freedom are only for straight white males?
    Just when I think I’ve found peak prog, I get pleasantly surprised.

    Libertarians are just Republicans who don’t want the stink of the word “Republican” associated with them.

    @30

    It is when they tell me to grow the fuck up and pursue all of life’s wonderful opportunities to the utmost of my personal freedom when I’ve been systematically fucked by racism and homophobia for my entire life. It is with you when you assume that my issues are not important just because you can’t bother to understand that some of us are fucked from the start by the discourse you defend.

    I would be 100% for the libertarian ideas if everyone had equal opportunity to compete. It would be a less shitty capitalism. But in the real world we survive the struggles in anyway we can, and you guys really don’t help.

    somebody named jonathan wasserman wrote an article predicting the future all stars from this draft…..Knox at number. 4. then, under “sleepers outside the top 10″…..Mitchell Robinson.

    so….which one of you guys is jonathan wasserman????

    When it comes to political systems, parties, leaders…for me, it’s five simple things:
    1) life;
    2) liberty;
    3) privilege of sleeping under the protection of the strongest bad ass armed forces ever assembled & knowing that if anyone fucks with us, we can inaliate them in 48 hours;
    4) the pursuit of doing what ever the fuck makes me happy;
    5) access to economic latter via education & entrepreneurship.

    While there often are some minor or temporary disruptions, MOST people are exactly where they deserve to be in life. All our lives are whatever we make of them.

    I remember I said here once that americans were incredibly amusing to me sometimes.

    See above example.

    economic latter

    I was more impressed with “inaliate,” whatever the fuck that is

    2for18, you’re being super aggressive. You also decided to knock an organization that tracks groups that exist solely to perpetuate violence and disenfranchisement against other people. Go back to libertarian school, you’re doing it wrong.

    I think I can speak for a large contingent on this site when I say I’m with you, Bruno. Fuck this ahistorical, myopic bullshit. The free market can only exist when bigotry does not. So here we are.

    Hell, if I had Carmelo’s money, I’d make sure the ACLU, Planned Parenthood and Southern Poverty Law Center had enough to make ends meet. Such a greedy git, aren’t we?

    You really don’t have much respect for money, do you? 🙂

    Back to Fox News with you.

    That’s as pithy as you cab be snowflake? Back to the crying closet for you. SAD! LOL
