Detroit lost to Utah, a team the Knicks were up 23-0 against. So maybe we shouldn’t judge things game by game.

any possible way to rescue tidjane salaun out of charlotte 16/9 per 36 51% fg 46% fg and pretty good on defense

While we’re poaching high lottery picks, why stop at Salaün? Might as well go for Cooper Flagg.

not the same salaun not even starting (has started zero games this season after starting 10 last year) and is playing only 16 minutes per game flagg is averaging 35 minutes per game and is a full-time starter really bad sarcasm usage attempt against me even for you

others mentioned going after jalen smith of the bulls several times he was also a high draft pick wonder why you had no problem with that? oh right because it wasnt me lol

The answer to whether a team is willing to trade a recent high lotto pick who is playing well for what we are willing to offer remains no, just like the last 30 times you’ve asked.

Jalen Smith has been in the NBA for over half a decade and is on his 3rd contract.

If Deuce plays today, I’ll be really dissapointed. Especially, if its on minutes restrictions.

I don’t think so, Doogie. He was the 6th pick in the draft 18 months ago and is still just 20 years old. Charlotte likely views him as a cornerstone piece despite the low mpg.

Jalen Smith, on the other hand, is a long way from his draft status. He’s 25 y/o and on his 3rd team. That said, I’m not sure we even have enough to get him.

Yabu + Dadiet matches the salary but the Washington pick feels like an huge overpay for him and nothing else we have is very good. Chicago would have to really like Yabu & Dadiet.

Okay, NY Giants fans. Are you ready for Tank Bowl tomorrow? The Raiders have decided to sit their last remaining good player Maxx Crosby, who will join their other good player Brock Bowers on the IR. Offensively the Silver and Black will be unleashing the running talents of Ashton Jeanty and his 3.7 YPC and the aerial attack of a hobbled Geno Smith and his league leading 15 interceptions.

It’s a formidable tank, as it is one of the worst Raider teams of all time with a league “leading” -169 point differential. The Raiders have an uncanny knack of winning pointless late season games however, so this one will be an epic clash.

    May the worse team lose.

i don’t know owen, i liked rooting for the g-men, always liked their colors and gear, especially those red w/ white lettering jerseys…

it sucks they suck, for sooooooo long, worse is, short of some kind of ownership intervention, there doesn’t appear to be a bright future, at all…

actually, maybe i’m a bit bitter, yeah, maybe better not to care at all…

looks like senor deuce is getting the start today…

    josh, and landry (still) out…

hmmmm, wonder if yabu is available…hahahahahahaha…

doogie, i for one am very thankful for your presence…it’s good to know i’m not the only one who’s got to ride around with a constant governor on myself just to keep the crazy in…

it brings me some peace sir, and if it is any small consolation to ya – i spend a bunch of time and effort modulating the volume of my voice around others, otherwise it would just sound like i’m constantly yelling, it can get pronounced…also, i’m a super fidgety, i’d be scratching/rubbing my face and head 24/7 if i didn’t make it a point not to, feels sometimes like i must look like a tweaker…

    you’re doing good doogie…

Offensively the Silver and Black will be unleashing the running talents of Ashton Jeanty and his 3.7 YPC and the aerial attack of a hobbled Geno Smith and his league leading 15 interceptions.

Jeanty almost singlehandedly dismantled one of the best defense in the league on the road last week, so he is our only hope with the blatant tanking.

Sounding a bit like a disgruntled Jets/Mets fan though? Amirite?

I went to my first Giant game in 1960 and I’ve seen 3 NFL Championship games, 5 Super Bowls and 4 Super Bowl wins, so Gian’t fans have little to cry about.

That was a good Jaco story. Tracks with what the tail end of his life must have been like all the time.

really bad sarcasm usage attempt against me even for you

It was both accurate and appropriate.

    Why would you be disappointed

It’s just another data point on my theory that players don’t come back after injury has healed. They take rextra time off in the name of this longetivity preventative medicine science BS.

Entertainers and athletes have to show up to perform and be ready when the cameras are flashing and curtains goes up. It’s the worst part of the job. Zero life work balance.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a rookie, $4m or $50m or million player. It’s wide spread now and everyone seems to be doing it. Assuming an aav of a $100k a year career salary, it would take a normal hard working person 40yrs to make what Deuce will make for 9 months this year.

As far as minutes restrictions load management BS, what other sport does this?

Can you imagine a soccer player, doctor and coach tell the a Euro fan base that a player can only play for 20 minutes, a baseball guy can only play for 3 innings or an NFL quaterback comes back to only play 30% of the snaps?

What about if my empolyees tell me that they’re just got over the flue like 3-4 days ago so they will only be working for 2-3 hours a day this week?

This is a foolish NBA league wide enabled behaivor run by risk averse cowards that is trending towards its own long term destruction.

I don’t get it, are you comparing the flu to recovering from an injury? They are completely different things

Director firmly snatching the mantle of: Old Man Yelling at Clouds away from Bob…

    I resemble that remark!

While I might be 73 I have less Miniver Cheevy in me than most. But as someone who has managed the careers of around 1,000 equine athletes, Director’s complaints are understandable, but a bit off base.

It all revolves around what the idea of “healed” means. Healed (in the competetive athletic sense) doesn’t usually mean “100% brand new” with zero additional risk of reinjury. It means the player has passed certain milestones that leads the athletic staff to believe he can return with a reasonable additional risk.

Deuce, if he is cleared to play tonight, probably could have played 2 nights ago, but with what the staff and player thought was unreasonable risk. If they waited another couple of days, the risk of reinjury would be less.

These are all risk/reward analyses. Today there is just more data and more refined diagnostic testing to make more informed decisions than decades ago.

When I ran my own business and my back was killing me, I got up, downed 1000mg of Methocarbamol and a couple of 222’s and drove on. If I was making 4 million a year guarenteed, I’d have done it a little differently.

Per league sources, Josh Hart is still undergoing evaluation on his sprained right ankle. He didn’t travel with the team for this three-game road trip and will be re-evaluated when the Knicks get home.

Shamet is continuing rehab and full on-court basketball activities. He is progressing well and working his way toward contact, league sources say.

I loved 222s. Broke my heart when Canada stopped selling them over the counter…
