    Well it is dog days, but glad we’re back. And special shout-out to Alan for verifying it was a glitch and that I somehow hadn’t been banned for calling MB a bonobo… or worse, talking about evolution like it’s a real thing…

    I’m going through some serious basketball withdrawal. Caitlin Clark got me interested in WNBA for awhile, but the behavior of much of the rest of the league over her an other things has become such an extreme turnoff I can’t even watch her anymore. Plus she’s been injured a lot (I wonder why) and hasn’t been able to take a step forward. I’d rather watch Canadian curling.

    dont think at all that caitlin clark has been injured for much of the season for any of the reasons that you are alluding to enjoy the curling tho

    The Donte story above is rather heart-warming:

    no doubt for “many” players thibs with a specific mindset (hardcore, hardnosed, whatever)) was the ideal coach…it’s maybe more the thinking types (mikal, OG, to some extent KAT) thibs ran afoul with…

    In some fashion Thibs set Donte up for success as a player. I’m not surprised Donte likes him.

    The Westchester Knicks announce they have acquired Dink Pate from the Mexico City Capitanes in exchange for the returning player rights to Boo Buie.

    This is per Tommy Beer. The Capitanes are playing in G-league, but don’t seem to be affiliated with any particular NBA team.
