    1. For two years, Amare tried for a contract to play a final season in Phoenix and they said no.

      He probably tried for the same thing with the Knicks and they said, “How about a one-day ceremonial contract?”

    2. It seemed like an FU to Phoenix at the time for me, but I didn’t know it went down like that. That’s just sad.
