    1. Alan – Enjoyed the RRR tweets.

I tried Gravity Falls with my 7 and 5 year olds. It’s good but quite complex for the younger one, has some very “advanced” humor, and is definitely not in the same league as Bluey.

    2. I wonder what Atkinson’s thinking is. You don’t go that far through the interview process and get selected unless you want the job. Either the late negotiations ran into an issue (maybe how much control he’d have over the roster?) or the Warriors promised him something better down the line.

    3. The 2014 draft produced some of the weirdest results ever. Embiid would have been the consensus #1 pick without his career threatening injury, and even though he has gone on to have a HOF-level career, he’s still second fiddle to the #41 pick. Wiggins has long been labeled a bust as pick #1 but just made his first all-star team and was a candidate for NBA finals MVP. There’s a bunch of solid NBA players scattered throughout the draft with no rhyme or reason.

    4. Deeefense!!:

Looks like the Warriors are pretty good at sweeping in at the last moment and snagging the good coaches just before they sign with another team.

    5. I’m trying hard to not get my hopes up over this draft and free agency period. My expectations are that they are going to draft 11th, release Kemba, go with Quick as the starting PG, move on from a few of the vets the following year, and see if they are in a position to use their cap space to attractive higher level talent. That latter being dependent on if they can turn things back around this year. I think they are going to surprise on the upside this year. I wanted to bet the under last year but missed the deadline. I may consider the over this year based on where expectations seem to be right now. We’ll see what happens and what the number is.

    6. Draft is in a few days and I am still firmly in the Johny Davis camp assuming no major trade ups or down.
Seeing a lot more of AJ Griffin dropping down mocks due to not releasing physicals but would be surprised to see him drop to 11 still. Would be happy with Tari Eason or Jalen Duren after him.

    7. I assume the Dubs gave Kenny a nice raise and said he would takeover when Kerr retires. Kerr has nothing to prove and he’s had some serious health issues so I doubt he’s going to be coaching much longer.

    8. I think I like Eason where we’re picking. Even if we lose Mitch I’d rather just try Sims & Nerlens for the year than take a center in the lottery. Teams have devalued centers to the point where there will be are some good 2nd round center prospects like Kessler or Cockburn or Koloko (or maybe even as an UDFA).

    9. IMO the problem with Centers is self inflicted. Everyone wanted to play 5 out. So the emphasis was on Cs that could shoot the 3 and not that were highly skilled and efficient inside. Then the league figured out they could force a lot of those bigs Cs that could shoot into switches and they’d have problems guarding on the perimeter. So then teams started going smaller.

The answer to small ball is not going even smaller. It’s crushing the other team on the boards and inside. We need a few old style highly skilled Cs that can make teams pay for going small more than they gain from the spacing and switching. But they need to tell and teach those big bruising Cs to learn how to post up and pass OUT of the double team first.

    10. Eason will probably be the highest player on my board when we’re picking but it doesn’t seem like we’re even doing due diligence. It’s a shame, but unless we really screw up there should still be good alternative options available.

I also am starting to like Sochan a lot. If I had to bet on this class having a future DPOY it would be Chet (who should be the consensus #1 pick, but I digress), but Sochan would be a close-ish 2nd. There aren’t many guys in the league who can legitimately defend 1-5, and I think Sochan can legitimately do it. The offense is another story but he’s far from hopeless on that end.

I hope we avoid the AJ Griffin experience. He’ll probably be in the NBA for a long time because of his shooting and body, but I’m just not seeing much of anything else there. We need some upside swings and I don’t view him as having much.

I think TyTy is actually being a bit underrated. His numbers aren’t much worse than a lot of the guys mocked ahead of him, and he was dealing with a pretty significant injury as well as all of Cal’s weirdness. Ideally if we got him it would be in a trade down, but I wouldn’t be upset regardless.

I’ve got the other semi-realistic lottery guys ranked Daniels/Mathurin/Sharpe/Davis/Branham in that order for now, but there are a lot of close calls there and I can see the argument for almost any order between them.
