    1. Let’s put tonight game in perspective:
the Rockets are 1-14 overall, 0-9 on the road and in a 10 game losing streak.

A win, and an easy win, it’s the only acceptable outcome.

A loss would be devastating but even a narrow win would be troublesome, our G-League team can beat this Rockets. Please guys don’t embarrass yourself.

    2. Wow, Sexton gone for the year, but that might actually be just fine for the Cavs.

What does this do for his next contract? He already has something of a rep as an empty calories player, and now he’s about to miss nearly all of the season before he’s an RFA. And on top of that, the Cavs have been playing well without him. Is anyone going to throw him an offer sheet this summer? What could the Cavs trade him for if they recognize he’s no longer part of their future?

    3. I’m not a big fan of Sexton as a player but I’m very sorry for his situation,
it’s really a bummer to have this kind of injury just before free agency (even if restricted).

    4. In a way, I wish we were playing a good team tonight. A win over the horrendous Rockets will prove nothing about our squad.

(Of course, I’ll get my wish with a back to back against the Bulls in Chicago tomorrow)

    5. I went looking for a thread from 2020 where I said the Dubs should consider trading Curry (and Klay and Dray) for a nuclear rebuild, which is funny now, but instead found a thread from when we were debating trading for Chris Paul. Looking for one L, found another.

    6. d-mar: In a way, I wish we were playing a good team tonight. A win over the horrendous Rockets will prove nothing about our squad.

I’m actually looking forward to this game (with a bit of dread). A couple days off to work through things and a bad team to practice on SHOULD provide the starters a chance to start ironing our their problems a bit. We shall see.

    7. We’ve had a conventional blowout only once this year and that team has now beaten us 2x in a row, I’d keep blowout expectations in check haha. Just hoping for a solid win

      TheClashFan:

    8. More looking forward to how we play after the recent suck. Honestly we just need to start hitting shots again that was supposed to be this teams strength.

    9. As crappy as the Knicks have been, losing tonight would be shocking. Even with a win, if the starters continue to look bad…

    10. @FredKatz
Taj Gibson (groin) is OUT today against the Rockets. Nerlens Noel will return from his right knee sprain, Tom Thibodeau says.

    11. Agree with zman that a win tonight would meaningless and a loss would be devastating. Even bad teams don’t often go 1 and fifteen though. Kinda scary

    12. wow, playing center for the knicks seems to be hazardous to a player’s health…

looking forward to watching the game today…the boys and their neighborhood crew running in and out of the house, knicks on in the background while cleaning up the garage sounds like a perfect saturday afternoon…

need to put together some good snacks (maybe some chicken nuggets and them little small wrapped wiener dogs) for all…

    13. i was kinda wondering if mitch’s unspecified complaint tweet maybe meant that noel was starting but then realized that was a thing that only a truly void soul would spend time wondering but i was also bowling with a 5 yr old

    14. Raven: I’m actually looking forward to this game (with a bit of dread). A couple days off to work through things and a bad team to practice on SHOULD provide the starters a chance to start ironing our their problems a bit. We shall see.

I’ve missed our last few games, so I too am really looking forward to this one. Totally agree with the above, we should just run our sets and get everyone into a rhythm (oh, and f-ing win). As you say, we shall see.

PS — delivery snacks on the way ;-)
