    1. TheOakmanCometh:

Then Randle comes back in and the ball just stops. Either he’s walking it up court or we’re waiting 10 seconds for him to post up 20 feet from the basket. Nobody cuts. At best they swirl around the perimeter waiting for a kickout.
Individually he’s still putting up decent numbers. He just sucks out the energy.

Z-man: That 7-6 is a house of cards. We won 2 games by surviving opposing last possessions, and played the Sixers and Bucks without their best players.

      E, all merc’d out:
Both RJ Barrett and Evan Fournier would be better players if they weren’t saddled with Randle.
Outside of trading him, which they should do, I don’t see any way to significantly reduce his role.

I agree wholeheartedely with this takes.

    2. Some numbers about the “Tale Of Two Randles”:

Julius Randle 1st QRT AKA as Julius Team-Player
      12 Min, 0 PTS, 0-2, 3 REB, 4 AST, 1 TO, plus-16

      Jumelo Ranthony
      21 Min, 10 PTS, 4-13, 5 REB, 1 AST, 4 TO, minus-34.

Problem is, he was pissed and scowled even when we were up by a lot, went back to his ISO, Low BB-IQ habits and lowered his energy on defense (in the 3rd and 4th he was ridicolous).

When he do that he put everyone else out of synch: Fournier (that as a consequence tends to disappear and/or pass on open threes), Barrett (a ghost in halfcourt set if the ball doesn’t move and find him in the corner), tonight even Burks, that got pissed off in the last 4 minutes.

We’re at our best when we share the fucking ball and we have two starters that can run (RJ and E4) not to talk about Obi.
On Obi’s last dunk, Burks went from DREB to assist with a long outlet pass, something that Randle NEVER do (in fact he’s back at never passing the ball to the PG after a DREB).

To be clear, I want him to succeed and I think Julius Team-Player is a great player to have, I still have faith that he can be coached and convinced that he doesn’t need to be the hero for this team to win, that he can get his points in the flow of the game but I hate Iso-Melo and so can’t condone Julius doing it, we’ll better act and act soon. (BTW, according to Spotrac he can’t be traded until february 3).

P.S. From now on every time he score a basket someone’ll write that JR’s giving me the finger. It happened last year with Payton, the end results are there to be seen, time is a gentleman…

    3. My grades:

      Walker B- (26-3-3)
A flaming start that couldn’t last, he botched a couple of easy layup (it tells a lot about his knee) and we know his defense by now but he was the best of the starters.

      Robinson C (11-6 1 BLK)
He had a strange game, OREB were good, defense on and off, unfortunately he had trouble gripping the ball well, being it on rebounds or on passes. It’s clear he lacks the explosiveness we were used to.

      Randle D (10-8-5 5 TO)
I wrote too much about him already. He had a good 1st.

      Barrett F (2-4-ZERO)
26 minutes of nothing, with weak drives, horrible defense and impalpable presence anywhere. 4th stinker in a row, where he’s shooting 13-50 (3-19 3FG). Wake up boy, wake up…

      Fournier D- (5-6-1)
He suffers Iso-Randle the most with a dangerous tendency to hide himself and pass on open shots every time he feels freezed out. He’s a much better player than this, we can’t afford that our 3rd option took 19 shots in 3 games otherwise we’d have been better with Bullock and his good defense.

    4. Burks B (15-9-3)
He’s rounding into form, he was phenomenal on the boards, had 2 STL and 1 BLK and played with energy on defense.

      Rose B- (8-1-2)
He was “nicked” as Thibs said and it was a bad moment to do so, He was orchestrating as usual even if not at his best.

      Quickley B- (9-2-2)
Numbers are worst than eye test, but he drilled some important shots and played with great energy on defense. Another player that is slowly rounding into form, now he must keep this pace.

      Toppin B- (7-8-1)
As with IQ, numbers fail the eye. Unlucky on a couple of tap-in/shots, still play with great energy and he run the floor like a greyhound.

      Gibson C- (3-4)
Wasn’t at his best (4 TO!), maybe Noel and Mitch shaky conditions are forcing him to play a little too much.

      Thibs F
Sorry guys, the 3rd quarter inaction was a creepy sight. He said all the right things in the post-game (again) but someone has tuned him out. He’s a workaholic, he’ll find a way, the next three games are crucial.

    5. Yesterday, i got a little depressed at how the game went, but today it’s a sunny day here so all is good again. ;)
Yeah, we have a lot of problems, but also teams go into stretches where nothing works, and then get back on track. So let’s not panic this soon in the season. If we hit a stretch like this midseason, it doesn’t count as much, but in the beginning of the season if you go from 5-1 (totally unsustainable pace) to 7-6 (which i think is a little below our “natural” pace), of course we freak out and think it’s the end of the world. Let’s wait for these next 3 games to check if they can get on a winning streak and then start to play with more confidence.
About the changes is kind of tricky, yeah Kemba should be in street clothes, but we can’t do that, so let’s focus on what we can do, which i think is swapping Fournier for Burks. And then hope RJ regains his mojo, like Quick did, and Noel gets back from injury to be the starter (Mitch has to sit to learn a lesson). To the end i left Julius, he must play like last year or this won’t work, he’s our main player, he must step up. I got frustrated yesterday with his play, because if a coach benched me for an entire 4th quarter i’d show up in the next game like a man on a mission to prove him wrong… well, Julius did none of that.
One more thing, Kemba was a good signing but we all said at the time that it could go south really fast, so here we are. The season is long, and we must endure this for some time more, but i think that if it’s obvious that Kemba is done, Leon will trade him at the deadline (he had the “welcome home” party, but this is a team with higher goals, so we must move on if he doesn’t help us, we’re not a charity).

    6. Max: Thibs F

Agree 200%. And yeah, i think he’ll find a way. But please, be more imaginative, to play 5 guys as the starters and 5 guys as the backups is way too rigid for me. Mix it up, man.

    7. A shakeup in the first unit is probably needed soon.Maybe switch out Burks for Fournier to try and get some more defense in that first unit.

    8. Hey, how come “You can’t handle the truth” didn’t come here for this…

Porzingis scores 32 behind monster first half
Kristaps Porzingis finished Friday evening’s win over the San Antonio Spurs with a season-high 32 points, seven rebounds, three blocks, three 3-pointers and one turnover in 34 minutes of action.
He and Luka Doncic (triple-double) feasted in this one, and the Unicorn was amazing in the first half with 23 points and six boards before the third quarter even started. He’s scored 20+ in three of his four games in the month of November, he’s rebounding well, blocking shots and isn’t hurting any of your percentages, so maybe this is a turning point for the oft-injured and oft-struggling big man.

      Anyone misses Mr November?

    9. cybersoze:
Hey, how come “You can’t handle the truth” didn’t come here for this…

      Anyone misses Mr November?

The taller Spur in the game was 6’9 Drew Eubanks (Poeltl, Landale and Collins are all out) so no, I’m not missing him at all.
When he’ll do the same against Jokic or Embiid, then I’ll change my mind…

    10. Randle bringing the ball up is a non-issue to me. Creating fastbreaks off rebounds is not the rule, but the exception. Obi just happens to be exceptional!

    11. Early Bird: Randle bringing the ball up is a non-issue to me. Creating fastbreaks off rebounds is not the rule, but the exception. Obi just happens to be exceptional!

It’s not the issue, but it’s a issue. Sometimes RJ is running up the court fast too, but Julius never reads the game, he just puts the ball down and brings the ball up in a very slow pace. I bet defenses love teams that do this, because you have plenty of seconds to adjust your team’s positioning.

      +100

    13. As i said it’s a little early to make trades, but let’s say by Dec 15 we are still dealing with the same issues. Can we help Dallas out, and vice versa? It’s becoming clear that we might not want to pay Mitch, and probably Dallas is thinking the same about Brunson. Luka is the starter, you shouldn’t be wasting a lot of money on the backup, right?
So how about Kemba and Mitch for Brunson and Cauley-Stein?
Kemba probably can play 20 good mins, and his defense won’t be so targeted by playing against 2nd teams. Mitch is a huge upgrade for them. Brunson is a huge upgrade for us, and Cauley-Stein is a capable backup for Noel (can he stay healthy?).

    14. I’m a Brunson’s stan since his draft days,
but Dallas FO said they’ll do whatever it takes to keep Brunson.
Not a good news for us.

    15. ***Hey, how come “You can’t handle the truth” didn’t come here for this… Anyone misses Mr November? * The taller Spur in the game was 6’9 Drew Eubanks (Poeltl, Landale and Collins are all out) so no, I’m not missing him at all.***

The takeaway from that game for Mr You Can’t Handle The Truth should be that DeJounte Murray is everything that Frank promised to be, but isn’t.

    16. Max: (in fact he’s back at never passing the ball to the PG after a DREB).

So I’ve been spittling at the screen over Randle’s slow bogarting up the court after a rebounding, as I think it’s a general killer of pace, often lends itself to Melo iso where NObody else touches the ball, and just wastes time. Give it to a guard for god’s sake! But yesterday I saw Kemba getting a rebound and actually handing it off to Julius, so it seems it’s a thing they want. Which is different, if also inexplicable.

Yup, I remember that play, I was surprised.
If that’s what they want it’s not only different, it ‘s worse, because it means the Coaching Staff is okay with it and with a tactic that it’s costing us chances to get easy baskets.
But I doubt it because the bench mob flies around as soon as possible…

I’m not saying they must do it all the time, just that, as Cyber said, they must read the game.

    18. Just reading through the comments I saw a lot of things I agree with, but I’m going to throw cold water on some of them.

      1. I want to see McBride. Z-Man made a good point that it’s hard to imagine he could be worse than Payton. Haha. I don’t think Thibs will do anything that drastic so soon. Either Rose or Kemba is going to miss some games. Instead of giving Quick all those minutes, he should work McBride into the rotation. Let’s see what we have. If he looks good, then maybe we can make a move eventually.

      2. Before the season a lot of people said that Burkes and Fournier were similar. I can’t see us swapping those two in the starting lineup. Fournier was the marquee free agent signing. Politically I think that can’t be done. I think Fournier is the better player anyway. Personally, I just don’t like Kemba and him on the court at the same time. I see Kemba as the player to replace in the starting lineup, not both.

      3. Dallas is almost certainly looking to make a move. They ARE looking for a better pairing with KP. They were interested in Nerlens in the off season. Mitch would fit well in the P&R with Doncic on offense and help protect the paint with KP playing PF. Brunson is playing well for Dallas, but I’m not sure he’s the solution for us or if they would trade him. Granted I don’t watch every Dallas game, but he hasn’t looked like a good defender to me. Plus, with Nerlens and Mitch taking turns being injured, I’m not so sure either one is expendable as part of a trade.

      4. I’m often on an island when it comes to our players. I was positive on Randle even after year 1, more positive after year 2, but I’m ready to throw up my hands and surrender. He has multiple skills. On nights he’s making tough shots he’s terrific, but he just doesn’t get it. The idea is to move your feet and move the ball trying to get easy shots. It’s not to dribble around until you create a tough one or turn the ball over because you are in a tough situation.

    19. Max:
Some numbers about the “Tale Of Two Randles”:

It was the best of Randle, it was the worst of Randle…

      And how!

    20. What if Dallas were willing to move Brunson and Cauley-Stein, but want both Mitch and IQ in return? Why in the world would they want Kemba?

    21. Early Bird:
Kemba has 7 layups on the season against 3 blocked attempts at the rim. It’s bad.

Yeah, I posted the numbers the other day. For his career, he takes about a quarter of his shots at the rim but this season he’s only at 12%. When he does get to the rim he can’t finish, he’s shooting a putrid 43%. And since he can’t get to the rim or finish he’s not drawing any fouls. He’s only taking 1.4 FTA/game and his FTr has tanked to .135 when it’s .281 for his career.

And yeah, not only has he only had 3 layups blocked against 7 makes, he’s 7/21 overall on layups on the season.

    22. Porzingis is playing PF this year. He’s not going against any of the big Cs anymore. They are using him in spots at C, but he’s the PF. Kidd is trying to take the best of what Carlisle did (eliminate the long 2s and shoot 3s instead) with the best of what the Knicks did (post him up against much smaller defenders and punish small ball).

He’s stronger now than he used to be. He still can’t post up legit strong Cs. But he can hold his ground and shoot over small men in the paint area. He’s off to a slow start shooting 3s. He had one horrific game when he played with a bad back and had to get pulled, but he looks way better defensively this year. He has his legs back. He and Doncic also seem to hate each other less this year. LOL. They are still missing a piece or two, but they are good. But we all know Frank is the straw that stirs the drink. HA HA HA

    23. TheClashFan: What if Dallas were willing to move Brunson and Cauley-Stein, but want both Mitch and IQ in return? Why in the world would they want Kemba?

That was me trying to get rid of Kemba graciously. :P
If we can send Kemba somewhere else or to emergency backup (like Taj), as Z-Man mentioned in the previous thread, i think i’d still do it. Would be kind of sad to see Quick go, but i think Brunson is more reliable in a starter’s role than IQ.

Edit: And this would promote Grimes to the 2nd unit, replacing IQ.

    24. Kemba is not getting traded. The Knicks pushed to sign him and bring him home. He’s going to be here for the duration of the contract unless injury forces him out.

    25. Yeah it was a good off season story and a decent gamble but the Knicks will not hold on to Kemba for the full contract if he continues to be bad and they can find a suitable trade.

A less than stellar start by this team doesn’t automatically make Leon Rose incompetent or prone to the same unwarranted loyalty that past dumb regimes had to players that didn’t deserve it.

Maybe we didn’t get this off season totally right and maybe this is a step back from last season. It’s way too early to make that call but it is a possibility. That doesn’t automatically make this regime the same ole LOLKnicks. Let’s not get it twisted.

    26. Wanna make a bet? Leon is smart, he can see the game and he has a great analytics team. I’d make a huge bet that Kemba won’t stay here 2 years, and a small one that he won’t make it past this season’s trade deadline.

    27. We can look at Kemba and the backcourt and/or our defense as the clear reasons why this team is struggling. But I think the real reason is Randle. He doesn’t have to play like mvp candidate Randle from last year but he does still have to be the leader on this team and that means playing hard, giving the best effort on defense and being unselfish when he isn’t hitting shots and other players are playing well. Since we’ve gone into this funk his body language has been awful. That more than poor shooting is what concerns me. I’m worried all the positive talk and all star nods and fat contract have gone to his head or maybe he just isn’t trusting his teammates yet. Either way, he needs to step up. We need him to help us win games when he doesn’t go off for 30 points by grabbing tons of boards, getting assists and playing defense. Those things should happen every game regardless of if he is scoring or not. For me until he changes his attitude this team will struggle bc he is supposed to be the leader of this team. Last year he took on that role but it’s not just about points. I think Fournier in particular is struggling bc of this. Kemba is what it is and he can still put together huge scoring bursts for us. But it’s really all about Randle.

    28. cybersoze:

I would really like to see Rose make an good/great trade or draft pick before we declare him as smart. Last season, he basically punted on and brought back the entire team that Mills put together. The only trade he made was at the request of Thibodeau. This season, the players he acquired are not working out so far and he kind of fucked up the draft again. I’d argue pretty strongly that Rose has been pretty incidental to our success and that it’s really Thibodeau’s success.

    29. Wanna make a bet? Leon is smart, he can see the game and he has a great analytics team. I’d make a huge bet that Kemba won’t stay here 2 years, and a small one that he won’t make it past this season’s trade deadline.

booked on this year’s trade deadline. loser has to buy league pass for geo for the remainder of the year?

    30. Stephen Curry passed Ray Allen for sole possession of first place in all-time three-pointers made (including playoffs), celebrating with a 119-93 win over the Chicago Bulls on Friday with 40 points on 15-of-24 shooting.

What a great player. :) Every time i read about a new achievement he reaches, i get sad thinking about the 2009 Draft… it was only one more team snubbing him… just one. :(

    31. Kidd is trying to take the best of what Carlisle did (eliminate the long 2s and shoot 3s instead) with the best of what the Knicks did (post him up against much smaller defenders and punish small ball).

i agree kp looks more mobile, but i don’t think this post will age well. i think kidd is making obvious mistakes on offense despite their 8-4 record. i don’t think posting kp on smaller guys is a winning move for a good offense unless he is 24 inches or less from the restricted area. dallas has been murdered with kp and luka together this year and the lack of spacing has been almost comical. sometimes kp will continue posting while luka drives directly toward him, as if they were running some sort of insurance scam. kp rolling, kp cutting, kp planting his somewhat strong self 4 feet out in front of guard switches are all good offense that they do not run nearly enough of. i think they are worse than their record given their current schemes. and kp still looks a bit rough on defense, though there has been a slight uptick.

Hey, i said a small one. Although Geo deserves it, we’re not rich here in Portugal. :P That, and probably i’d lose it because the odds are not in my favor. LOL

    33. Everything is Randle’s fault, here we see Randle causing RJ to miss 8 of his 9 shots against CHA. Notice how Randle, by standing nowhere near him, causes RJ to get blocked on 2 fastbreaks and miss 2 more layups.

It’s also probably Randle’s fault that Fournier missed shots and turned the ball over twice, and that Kemba is a non-threat when he isn’t hitting 50% of his 3s.

      Everything is Randle’s fault. Definitely.

that was actually a pretty douchey thing for me to write in retrospect. never quite unlearned the bid-or-fuck-off-henryhiggins school of degen gambling manners i accidentally attended. i’ll take the L.

No worries, all is good. I did consider the bet for a while, because Geo deserves it and because your posts are so funny and taking the bet would be a way to thank you for it. ;) But yeah, my odds were so bad i had to retract myself. :D

    36. Reading these hot takes, even though many of them are diametrically opposed arguments, I keep going yup, yup. Which pretty much means the whole starting five unit is a hot mess right now.

Barrett is in a tragic-comic funk, Randle can’t figure out who he’s supposed to be this year and consistently makes the wrong plays until he goes fuck it I’ll just do what I did last year, Fournier can’t figure out his new friends (which is understandable) and is overthinking and making unforced errors, Kemba can’t finish drives and (outside of that one half) hasn’t figured out he needs to play the Vinnie microwave three-point-shooter role now, Mitch has lost his bounce and nobody is running plays at the rim for him anyway.

Now that IQ is back the second unit is more or less playing pretty fantastically, but the first unit is a disaster start to finish. They need an intervention for each of the starters. Or an exorcism.

    37. Well, there’s a month before anything like a big trade is likely to happen. So, in the meantime, maybe our Social Safety Net Superfriends can figure things out.

    38. Rose hasn’t made a huge blunder but he also hasn’t done anything creative, or anything that has substantially moved the team forward. He did hire Thibs, and deserves credit for that, but I didn’t love the past off-season as it was going down, and kind of talked myself into liking it, but it’s looking like my first thought was best thought.

    39. Everything is Randle’s fault. Definitely

I certainly don’t think everything is Randle’s fault, but he was legitimately awful last night

    40. hope all is well for everyone…

got a chance to spend last night with a dear friend from school…he was doing some work in the area…

so weird sometimes to speak with folks that know you so well…opens up so much of your past…

amongst a bunch of other stuff, he told me a lot of details about our Lauderdale spring break trip when we were juniors…started having glimpses of that time…

      and other past periods…

yeah, after a while, friends become family…oddly enough – they sort of serve as a “diary”, a recording, of your life…

having an odd moment this morning though…never really gave much thought to depression before I got involved with this disability review process stuff…

I can see it now, in the moment, be aware of it…usually “melancholy” comes…stays for a while, fades, and then that sensation becomes forgotten…

this morning i’m flipping back and forth between wanting to cry, realizing I wanna cry – and then laughing like a madman for being aware of the whole moment…

oh man, life is s funny thing…

    41. they’re doing a re-run on last nights game on nbatv…

interesting to see burks first player in off the bench now…

we really don’t look that great, even when were scoring…it’s not just guys getting to know each other either…

both julius and RJ right now aren’t bringing enough…

crazy to think when compared to last season, but there really seems to be a lack of intensity…

      Words of wisdom Geo…

    43. just bought a bocce ball set…there’s these ball courts next to the portola by the warf in monterey…beautiful setting, every once in a while you’ll see some folks playing…

been a dream of mine for a while to play the game :)

    44. BTW, I had asked how many teams have worse starting C’s than Mitch (statistically, not potential-wise) and no one responded. Let me give you a hint, you won’t need all five fingers on one hand to count them.

“Statistically” is obviously a vague term but the answer is potentially rather high. Mitch hasn’t been all that good this year but I also think he’s kind of low on our list of problems. I don’t think he’s entirely right physically but still think we can win with this version of him if more important things start to change.

Some stuff I think will sort itself out–I’m fairly confident Randle, Fournier, and RJ will start scoring more efficiently and thus our starting unit’s numbers will look less like the 2011-2012 Bobcats’. Nerlens getting healthy should shore up the defense a bit.

I haven’t made any major adjustments to my priors about this team but I do think some of the higher upside outcomes can be safely ruled out. 50+ wins would’ve required a Kemba bounce back, Mitch leap, and other assorted things that don’t appear to be happening.

We should still be able to compete for 47 or so if some changes are made. Randle needs to play smarter, full stop. The ability to hit long twos is nice to have but is a piss poor go-to option. If I had to name one culprit for the starting unit sucking so much, it’d be his propensity to sabotage any semblance of an offensive scheme.

    45. Hey Geo, we’re here for you, you know that. I’m going to think of a music to send you to uplift your spirit. ;)

We have a game here called “jogo da malha”, that translates to “knit game”, that is similar to bocce. You can play it everywhere because it’s not balls but discs, that you throw to the air to reach the pin, so there’s no need to have ball courts. In Brazil they play it a lot also, because of the portuguese connection.

But bocce is also cool, be sure to tell me all about your adventures trying to play it.

Bocce is super fun! Are you more a “bocciatore” (bowler) or a “puntatore” (pointer)?
      And that setting is wonderful!

    48. Geo, that sucks. Sorry you’re going through it. Depression is awful and difficult to work through, but usually not as difficult as it seems at the time. Absolutely worth putting in the work. Good luck, man!

    49. Raven: Knickerblogger 2021. Statistics. Gallows humor. Bocce.

LOL, that’s funny. But i think you forgot “doomsday”, in case we’re in the middle of a losing streak. :D

    50. I’m enjoying my trial of League Pass, watching the Raptors/Pistons game (because I like a well coached team that plays greater than the sum of its parts, like the Raptors do), but I’m so confused by the play-by-play guy. I was expecting him to say stuff like “ewtside shot” and “the ref is being a hoser”, but instead he has the heaviest New York accent that I’ve heard since naturalizing in California. I don’t know who he is, but it’s kind of nostalgic. I want to say he’s from Rockaway. Anybody know if I’m right?

    51. watching celts and cavs, wow evan mobley is really something else…like a young anthony davis, only even somehow more athletic…

tatum is not so fun to watch, really forces the shot all the time…

    52. but I’m so confused by the play-by-play guy

pretty sure you mean the analyst not matt devlin the pbp guy. his name is jack armstrong and he’s from brooklyn. for years i haven chosen to belief it’s a nom de plume for ed burns’ second act.

    53. finally made it to the top of the thread…

I’ve had league pass for several years now…at first tried to stream it through playstation, that sucked…been just using cable the last few years…

ha, one of the reasons donnie sharing that he wasn’t watching games, but was still having fun,
kicking in here on the site, hit me so hard…

it was a serious what the hell is wrong with me moment…why in the world invest time and emotion in an event with a great probability of failure…

ugh, lesson, learned…right now we look like a .500 team…I’m gonna adjust my expectations for .500 results until at least january…

    54. ***for years i haven chosen to belief it’s a nom de plume for ed burns’ second act.***

The reason I guessed Rockaway is because that’s where I thought Ed Burns was from, haha.

    55. very interesting mister milo…you’ve mentioned in the past your passion for engaging in the more exhilarating side of the use of statistical analysis, I never really connected it to some of your posts though…

you have a great sense of humor (good compass too, you hit right on that covid stuff real quick), but you’re a pretty nerdy dude with the numbers and words (no offense meant); however, you seem to know – what’s up, like maybe at some point along the way you may have connected with a community that sort of likes to take things to the edge a bit…like them folks who love jumping out of planes…

no real good reason for it, other than the view…

makes sense now, generally an older community and an activity involving money…money, competition tend to keep people pretty intensely engaged…from a people perspective I can imagine you would see a thing or a thousand in that environment…

I remember from early on, reading your posts, literally stopping whatever else I was focused on, and wondering what in the hell does this mean, fascinating prose…like some code or something :)

got atlanta on my mind, my friend whom visited lives by piedmont park…my sis had a small spot in buckhead decades ago…

Apparently, he comes from a community of douchey southern gamblers that regularly quote from the play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw. (I kind of want to join that club, except for the gambling part)

    57. I wish Evan Mobley had joined the Knicks club.

I wonder what his rookie of the year odds started at and are right now.

He’s gotta be the leader of the race by far, even with Barnes and other guys playing well too. He’s got major Kevin Garnett 2.0 vibes, the defense is already unbelievably good.
