    1. Owen: It’s hilarious that 90% of this board will open the Mavericks box score everyday just to see how Frank did.

Just to clarify, i’m in the 10%. I like the kid, and would be happy for him if he can make it, even though that would have the probable outcome of some posters coming here for victory laps for several days in a row… months? LOL
I couldn’t care less what the Mavs do, they’re out west and i don’t have a lot of time, so it’s all for the Knicks and our direct opponents.
“Oof, i’m glad i took that off my chest. Thank you, Dr Psychiatrist, and until next week, ok?” :D

    2. GHenman: Is Frank vaxxed yet? How will it affect his play?

If he gets better at basketball, there’ll be no more antivax on the covidvaxblogger.net! LOL

    3. The 10% will be people who have convinced themselves that they are opening the Mavs box score forLuka but it’s still all about Frank.

    4. I don’t open Mavs box scores unless I’ll end up with a player on my fantasy team. It won’t be Frank.

    5. Donnie Walsh: At least in Dallas they can call him Shark Frank.

LOL, and they can setup a group of great basketball minds (Phil Jackson must be one of them) to research for ways to improve his game, and call it THINK FRANK! ;D

    6. in other knicks non-related news, I’m pretty familiar with all the beaches in the area: del monte which runs alongside downtown monterey, tiny lovers point over in pacific grove, carmel-by-the-sea which is down at the end of ocean ave. and reaches over to pebble beach…

all great locations – found an even cooler beach this trip: mara state beach which is a mile or so south of the main carmel beach…

gorgeous spot where the Carmel river reaches the ocean/bay…it’s also connected to point lobos which is one of the more scenic parks in the area…

what’s real nice about the beach is that there’s a total of about 25 parking slots for the beach, so everyone is super spread out…

    7. Damn you all. Now I’ve gone and done it.

And despite going 1-4 in 15 min, he’s plus 11, second on the team to the redoubtable Timmy Jr.

      The mystery of Frank continues…

    8. If he has a great year many of you will have to Walk the Frank….

Ahh, I will show myself out…

    9. I sense a frank thread incoming, fasten you seat belts it’s about to be a bumpy ride…

well, I was going to concede that in fact frank was a complete bust and headed back overseas – not so fast though…looks like the jury is still out on our favorite knickerblogger son…

    10. yeah, I don’t know about that one…I don’t think you F__k F___k, I think F___k F__ks you :P

lube up well today you frank naysayers…

    11. not saying strat, myself and a very few others were right all along, but, sure seems like strat, myself and a few others were right all along…

    12. The Knicks are going to be good and therefore uninteresting discussion. Enter Frank, KP, coach Kidd, & Doncic’s playstyle.

    13. @FredKatz
Nerlens Noel is questionable for tonight’s game against the Wizards with a sore left knee, the Knicks say. Noel missed the preseason opener Tuesday.

Just sit him so Taj and Obi can both start, Thibs.

    14. Nothing wrong with checking out Frank’s stats, at least until he gets injured again. With him and KP both on Dallas, at least that’s just one box score I have to check out instead of two…
      :-)

So, is Dallas’s team building strategy basically Luka plus as many ex-Knicks first rounders as can be reasonably acquired?

    15. On the only preseason game featuring Portland, DSJ had the following line:
      2P 3-6, 3P 0-1, FT 4-5, TRB 2, AST 3, STL 1, PTS 10 in 13:44 minutes.
      Let’s discuss this! :D

    16. The various articles about the former NBA players who defrauded the union for fake medical charges are all pretty terrible in actually listing all of the 18 former players, so I figured I’d list them all here:

      Milt Palacio
      Sebastian Telfair
      Antoine Wright
      Charles Watson
      Darius Miles
      Ruben Patterson
      Eddie Robinson
      Gregory Smith
      Glen Davis
      Jamario Moon
      Terrence Williams
      Alan Anderson
      Tony Allen
      Shannon Brown
      William Bynum
      Melvin Ely
      Christopher Douglas-Roberts
      Tony Wroten

Palacio was actually working as an assistant for the Trail Blazers, so that’s especially embarrassing.

    17. (This is a test.)

I really hate when the writers fail to simply list the offenders. Instead, they start with the best-known and most notable and work their way down the list, giving largely irrelevant details about their playing careers.

Like, sure, maybe you could point to Tony Allen and his $40M in career earnings as a notable detail in a case about wanton fraud, but it’s more like when some former football player dies and they list his career tackles or rushing YPA or something like that.

    18. Brian Cronin:

must be a misprint…no way antoine walker is not on that list…

    19. I ran a legal department for a residual market auto insurer ( assigned risk) and the fraud described in the article has been a garden variety type forever. The percentage of those caught is quite small as most carriers lack the resources to devote to its detection. The feds never got involved in these cases, when I was in the industry about 25 years ago, so I would assume that the high-profile nature of the former NBA players induced the feds to get involved.

    20. I really hate when the writers fail to simply list the offenders. Instead, they start with the best-known and most notable and work their way down the list, giving largely irrelevant details about their playing careers.

I don’t even mind opening with the most famous ones, but you gotta then name the others! I read so darn many of these articles that never list a full third of the people involved! Such sloppy reporting.

    21. Remember when Tony Wroten was going to be the Robin to Carmelo’s Batman? #longliveruruland

    22. With Randle out, we might see more of Knox tonight than we can stand. Personally, I hope he lights it up and we can trade him for Frank even up.

    23. Donnie Walsh:
Remember when Tony Wroten was going to be the Robin to Carmelo’s Batman? #longliveruruland

I think it was reub who was the Tony Wroten stan

    24. The occasional check-in is fine, but Frank Ntilikina is no longer on the Knicks and we should hopefully have our own interesting topics to discuss.

I am thus proposing we try to limit Frank talk unless he does something wildly unexpected like “perform like a passable NBA player for an extended period of time.”

    25. Noble, you just extended the conversation!

Anyway, I think as Frank has moved on, so has the Frank discussion safely moved on from basketball and stats. So we can all now enjoy it for what it is — humor.

    26. ***I think it was reub who was the Tony Wroten stan***

      Sorry, my bad. #longlivereubreubland

    27. Sounds like Noel is sitting. So we should, indeed, be getting the Taj/Obi frontcourt.

Obi is far from the most important player, growth-wise, on this year’s team, but I really like rooting for him. Would love to see him go off in Randle’s absence.

    28. Obi isn’t the most important player, but he might be the young player who’s value is most up in the air. As an older player on a rookie deal it feels a bit like a make or break year. Quickley is good. Knox is bad. RJ is good. Obi is… I don’t think we know, but I’m excited to see and he seems ready to show us.

    29. @FredKatz
      Knicks starters:

      Kemba Walker
      Evan Fournier
      RJ Barrett
      Obi Toppin
      Taj Gibson

Dammit, MSG and Xfinity, get your act together so I can watch these goofballs run around and jack up shots!

    31. I don’t always advocate piracy, but when I do it’s because 2 monopolies are fighting each other at the expense of the fans. I don’t know which company is at fault (I assume to some extent both) but they better resolve by the season’s start. I’m not in that market but it’s a situation that would be easily resolved in an open market.

    32. @TheSteinLine
The Warriors say they have waived Langston Galloway.

Langston’s had a surprisingly durable career as an 8th/9th man type. I wonder if this is it for him.

    33. Last thing I’ll write about Frank (expressed in yesterday’s thread, man, Frank two days in a row. Glad there’s a game tonight)

It’s ironic tat he goes to Dallas after the “uproarious laughter” that ensued in their draft room when he got picked.

    34. Kemba moving pretty well I think? RJ cares not for your shooting regression theories.
