Didn’t see the game, but was glad to see the Youth Group get the win. Rice, Schlittler, Wells, Jones, Volpe all playing well, nice. And soon they’ll be out from under Stanton’s contract, and their pitching is insane. Only problem is Judge getting old. And no third baseman still.

just feels so much more hopeful when growth and improvement come from within…

EB the only point I’m trying to make is that Konchar’s ability to defend bigs should be pretty low on the list of reasons to sign him. If you need a guy to be a backup 4, sign a backup 4, not a guy who is really a big 2 or smallish 3. However, if you want to sign the best player available regardless of positional need, and he’s your guy, consider his extremely limited to play up a modest bonus, since the hard evidence that he is able to do so in anything but a cameo roll on a shitty team doesn’t really exist.
