1. Jalen’s not the kind of guy who’s into recruiting other guys to come to his team. His attitude is wanting to win with whoever happens to be there. Not that he’s opposed to trades and free agents and such, just that he’s not going to actively assist in making upgrades.

2. Leon’s not the type to be into the whole “LeBron James experience,” as Fred put it, and Dolan’s media policies would have made it extremely unlikely that the team would want to bring in a guy intending to make a documentary about his final season(s) in the NBA.
