Someone commented on social media that he was irked at how badly the Grizzlies fumbled their last contending team, and yet somehow ended up in a decent place, and I was shocked by how DECENT their rotation really is for a very young team.

Still stuck on the fact that Shams dropped this news two days ago, I announced it, and then he pulled it, and then it happened.

That was a fake account, there are a few Shams impostors out there with @’s like “ShamsCharamia” or “ShamsCharama” etc.

I think it just came down to Klutch guys trusting each other. LeBron’s known Maxey a long time. Nurse is a Klutch client, too.

When your agent is in your ear and he’s vouching for everyone he knows, it probably tilts the scale.

I like aspects of the fit for LeBron. He’s got three very dynamic players to defer the heavy lifting to in Maxey, Brown, and Edgecombe. I can imagine Wade, Simons, and Barlow being a pretty good bench combo. Maybe one (or both) of Huk and Bona develops a bit.

Obviously the big question mark is Embiid. Perhaps LeBron thinks that the team will be good enough to win some early round games with Embiid not playing in all the games. They aren’t gonna stretch the floor but that’s a lot of firepower running at the rim. Maybe they trade someone like Simons for a shooter.
