According to Hoops hype. We may have close to 8.3 million left after the Drummond signing. Which means we still have all of the TPMLE with a minimum of 2 roster spots to fill.

Current reporting by Ian Begley & others that we have just 5 million left seems to be wrong

Hoops hype has us at 214.7 million but thats with Drummond at 3.9 million. Bring him down to 2.45 vet min that counts against the Salary would bring us to 213.3 million. 2Apron is 221.686 million.

It’s HoopsHype’s arithmetic that’s faulty. I knew something was off, because they are presuming Diawara’s contract to be 3y/$10M, rather than 4y/$10M, which should reduce NYK’s available space. Yet somehow the salary sum total suggests more.

The answer to the riddle is that Dadiet’s salary is listed in HH’s NYK payroll table, but not in the summed total, an almost $3M swing.

It seems like we swapped Huk for Drummond with Philadelphia. Long term, Huk is much younger so he will probably be more valuable in the future. But for just next season it seems like a positive swap for us.

I know they didn’t repeat, so it’s technically moot, but the Warriors did lose David Lee, who played Mitch minutes, to the Celtics to avoid paying luxury tax and still came back and won 73 games.

Why do we think that Cisse is available? He’s an RFA with Dallas, the team we screwed out of Jalen Brunson. Seems pretty low probability to me.

Drummond is mostly an offense-oriented player at this stage of his career, as offensive rebounding and his newly intriguing stretch big-ness are his most appealing commodities.

I’d maybe forget about Valanciunas and instead go with a defense-oriented guy as the 3rd center. Bismack Biyombo, Charles Bassey, Mouassa Cisse, somebody like that who you can put in the game as a defensive sub to get you a stop or two.
