came away surprised by just how advanced both wemby and stephon castle are in their careers and their level of awareness…I was a hot mess at that age…

I had previously speculated that since Mitch’s injury was initially referred to as a “pinky” fracture, it was more likely that the break was closer to the pinky than to the wrist. In the picture posted above, it’s clear that the surgical wound is very close to the knuckle, and not very long. I’m not sure what method the surgeon used to repair the fracture, but my guess would be either small screws or a plate and smail screws. From what I’ve researched, the plate/screws usually can hold the bone in place quite well, and with padded rigid protection over it, like what we saw in the video, Mitch should not be all that limited. The brace only went over the pinky and the ring finger seemed unaffected.

So the issue will be more about pain tolerance and how much the brace affects his ability to catch, grab, hold, pass, dribble, shoot the ball. Given the limitations of Mitch’s dribbling and shooting, as well as other things that normally keep him off the floor for half the game or more, I think he will be 90+% effective. He has huge hands, so if he has mobility in all fingers but his right pinky, as he seems to have in the video, catching/rebounding shouldn’t be a problem.
