<blockquote>I don’t know why people keep saying this.

Has Josh ever “just walked the ball up the court”?

There’s a reason we rarely use him to help Brunson. <blockquote>

After Game 3 against CLE, in which Brunson played 41 minutes (and with a view towards the Finals and precisely this issue) I took a look at who got the non-Brunson ball handling duties.

Jose Alvarado only played 4 minutes. For the remaining 3 non-Brunson minutes, which were the first 3 minutes of the 4Q, the NYK ball handler was: Josh Hart.

And he did in fact walk the ball up the court, against the zero ball pressure CLE cooperatively brought to bear.

The other NYK on the court were Deuce, Bridges, Shamet and Towns. And Hart got the honors. (Deuce clearly fell out of the handling circle of trust with his disastrous few minutes of (attempted) ball handling in the 2Q of Game 2 vs. the Hawks.)

Although Spurs might desire the Wemby/Hart matchup, they might not be as cooperative in allowing Hart to stroll up court, unmolested. Alvarado (or Kolek) might be a non-Brunson necessity for the level of pressure SAS is capable of.

Honestly I think the celebrity comparison is kind of silly. Just look at relative ticket prices. Going to a Knicks finals game cost a bit in 1994, but not even in the same universe, even inflation-adjusted, of what they cost now. There is not a ticket to be had on stubhub for game three that is selling for less than $4,000. The seats I'll be sitting in are listed for over $10,000. Is there even a precendent for this?

PS the cheapest seat for Game 1 in SA is listed at $809. A decent seat is gonna run $2,000. As outrageous as that sounds, it would make sense to buy a ticket, flight, hotel room, and dinner at the best restaurant in town rather than spring for MSG!
