Guys, the refs were atrocious but the first one I blame is the owner, who due his guest of honor single-handedly destroyed the vibes, removed fans from outside the arena, and created a weird atmosphere that you could feel affected the players. They were making mistakes that we didn’t see throughout the playoffs.

More important: It’s not just clock-wasting when Brunson dribbles around in circles. All our guys relax and go into “closer” mindset. “Jalen’s got this.” Against the Spurs, Jalen doesn’t have this. They are too big and physical.

Yes Brunson’s heroics of g1 are still fresh in our minds, but maybe that is actually problematic for the series as a whole.

Last night Jalen spent most of his minutes making Becky Hammon’s point about short slow guards.

And KAT has a drive to the hoop open on most every play when he gets the ball in position. I never thought I would say this, but we need *more stumbling giraffe moves to the cup.

I definitely don’t get the feeling that the Spurs are the better team. These teams are pretty evenly matched, both very good on both sides of the ball. The whistle is making it pretty tough but it’s not like either team is running away with these games.

Like most here I agree that the refs have been one sided all series however, we can’t control that. Players, coaches etc. What I saw tonight that is within our control is the slow start to the game and coming out flat footed to start the 4th (If i’m remembering correctly, we went scoreless for the first 4 minutes of the 4th). We fix either 1 of the those 2 issues, we come out on top even with the refs calling it one sided. Knicks in 5 was my pick, so that’s still in play at least.

Didn’t help that the crowd was fucking weird. Armed secret service everywhere. I booed that bum loud as my fucking nodules could cope with while my neighbors cheered.
