Walking around the city though, it’s just a sea of Knicks gear, and that made me feel a lot better. Win or lose, the whole city is palpably in this together, and that is what it’s all about.

Now at home, up 2-0, the fear is setting in. Maybe the reality is finally hitting me or maybe the prospect of happiness induces more stress in me than fumbling through years of failure. Anyway my therapist isn’t running out of a job anything soon and quite possibly authoring a book that’s a thinly veiled case study of my neuroses.

I mean in some of those earlier series when we were up by 35 I was still nervous until Kolek and Dadiet came into the game. It’s just part of the process.

They need to beat us 4 out of 5, and need 2 of 3 on the road. It’s not impossible, but it’s a tall order.

Just read the previous thread. Seems like I’m not alone.

No sir, you most certainly are not. I’ve had a sense of existential dread since I woke up this morning. An entire lifetime of waiting for this moment (I was a kid in ’94, and I remember it, but this is different), and it feels like everything we’ve gone through as a fan base over the last 3ish decades has been leading to this moment. It’s hard to shake.
