The Hawks just beat the Cavs by 20, so opting to drop down to play the Knicks would certainly indicate… something.

Oh, I’m definitely not suggesting that we play our “real” guys in order to beat Charlotte and secure that 6-game win streak to end the regular season. I’m hoping that we can play our bench and back-of-bench guys and still win, however unlikely (since Charlotte still has something to play for and will be playing their starters, who are pretty damn good most nights).

My head is with you on that one, Strat, although my heart would love to go into the playoffs on a nice 6-game win streak.

The only thing of importance today is having everyone healthy.

On the other hand, does the coaching and medical staff think there is a difference in game sharpness between having 6 days off and 8?

Good morning, all! Big day here—we’ll know what we need to know by around 8:30 p.m. Eastern.

Yeah, unfortunately I don’t think that we should be assuming Toronto just yet. As much as I would really love to be able to do that, I think that the Heat could very easily beat the Hawks tonight, despite the “nothing-to-play-for” designation. Atlanta might take it easy tonight in order to stay healthy, and a loss would slot them against us instead of Toronto (assuming that Toronto beats the Nets, which is a decent assumption—I doubt the Nets could beat the Raptors even if they *were* trying to win and Toronto wasn’t).

I still think we’d beat the Hawks, although it might take us six games instead of four, which would be significant as we move forward.

Going into today top of mind is: drawing Toronto instead of Atlanta; OG’s ankle; getting the 24th pick in the draft instead of the 25th or 26th; and having Mitch very healthy for Round 2.

If it’s not bad, I would think so. But all the more reason why we should want Toronto in the first round. Not having OG makes any series a bit harder but I feel we can still beat them without OG or with an OG that isn’t 100 percent. And hopefully the time it takes to get to the second round would be enough time for him to fully heal.
