Belichick might be re-thinking how he treated the members of the media who had Hall of Fame votes. With the weird new way the voting system is set up (where a given voter could only vote for three people, I think), it seems like what might have happened is that folks thought that Belichick was a shoo-in to get in and left it to others to actually vote for him. Kind of like……. “I didn’t vote for him. I thought *you* were going to vote for him.” “Nope, I didn’t vote for him. I thought *you* were going to vote for him.” And then not enough people voted for him. (Kind of like my Boy Scout hikes where everyone assumed that someone else was bringing certain snacks.) Karma?

McCullar is getting plenty of burn in the G League and doing well, from the looks of it. No complaints about their development plan; they are most certainly watching these guys and aware that some may be able to contribute. But clearly wins are important enough that Brown is going to do what works for a while. I just wish he could be more strategic about getting one guy some good minutes every game, like the short stint from Huk the other night. Like 10 minutes from Kolek in a non-Philly night.

Strat, I get what you’re saying about giving up on Dadiet too soon and/or early…….but the fact of the matter is that we’re not playing him anyway, and if that’s the case if we can get someone that we *will* play for him, we should do that. (Obviously whether or not he should have been Siberiad is a whole ‘nother conversation.)

You know who I’d really like to see a little bit more of who isn’t talked about much here? McCullar. I think there’s a (Hart-lite-like with possibly better defensive instincts) player in there, but again…….we’ll never know if he never gets any run. All of the players on the bench and never getting a minute anymore is very…….dare I say it?…….Thibsian.

Zion currently has a 4.2 OBPM, which would be 2nd on the Knicks. I really don’t think he has negative value, no matter what Fatty McGee said for clicks.

It’s well known and widely reported that the Pelicans have been willing to trade Zion for a long time but no one wants him. 3 days ago I heard Tom Haberstroh suggest that with his recent play, the Pelicans might be able to trade Zion for…. Jimmy Butler.

The Bulls have been reported to be interested in the same Zion + Missi package. They’re offering Vucevic, Coby White, and Patrick Williams’ terrible contract. I’m down on KAT but he’s worth a lot more than that.

We are probably going to wind up trading Yabu along with 2nd round compensation to get something we could use, preferably a backup PG. SA makes some sense because I think Yabu and Wemby are friends, but they’ll play hardball. They certainly don’t want or need Yabu. I hope it doesn’t cost us Dadiet who also probably knows Wemby, but moving him there also makes sense. I just want to keep Dadiet unless he’s part of a must do deal.
