A belief persists among some rival teams that Towns is in play to some degree. Or that the Knicks, at the very least, have tried to get a sense of what his market would be.

Now would the Knicks, when it actually comes down to it, be willing to surrender Towns in any trade that doesn’t involving acquiring Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo? Would James Dolan and Leon Rose (Towns’ former agent) really sanction any drastic in-season shakeup and possibly make their team smaller by parting with Towns mid-stream?

The next 10 days will tell us for sure.

Another concept that keeps coming up: Rumbles that the Knicks have explored pathways to try to acquire Portland’s Jrue Holiday.

There are at least two clear reasons why New York would have interest in a player who helped both Milwaukee and Boston win championships this decade: 1) The presumption that acquiring Holiday — if there’s a way — would make the Knicks an even more attractive destination to Holiday’s former Bucks teammate Antetokounmpo; 2) New York is believed to hold a longstanding fondness for Holiday as a potential backcourt complement to Jalen Brunson.

geo i really dont know what anyone on the forum said to raise your ire but speaking for myself only i definitely did not say anything about anyones family members i only said that i dont believe that three specific posters have women in their lives if they are going to use (or excuse the use of) the c word in addition to that if they can feel free to disavow that my very real girlfriend exists then i am certainly within my rights to similarly not believe them when they say that they have wives or girlfriends especially since they are ok with using that word in the end all i did was doubt the existence of people external to this forum but since its already been done by others on here towards me its unfortunately been accepted as ok behavior by the way i was posting to three very specifically named ungentlemen and to no one else lastly yes i would have said the same thing to those same specific people if they were standing in front of me

again none of that yesterday disparaged anyones family for me it was all about the use of the c word which is one of the most abhorrent terms in the english language (whether american or british) full stop if one actually does have a woman in their lives they should re-consider before they use it as all it does is denigrate their own loved ones

anyway i thought all of that was done and “put away” yesterday so not quite sure why it is now coming up again today but since you were clearly bothered by something someone said i wanted to give you my take
