The Mikal,OG, Diawara pairing brings a bunch of defense with switch ability . It was cool to see.

Projecting development is a fool’s game at the individual player level, but if Diawara has the work ethic and innate talent to reach my vision I can’t wait to see those 3 playing big minutes together. Maybe we can get a breakout by the second half of next season or the start of the season after that. No matter what, Diawara is untouchable in a trade for me.

Brunson’s defensive improvement has been clear to the eye test – a lot more fight, more effort to jump screens, more persistence. And this version of KAT is OK – better on D, and as you say, letting the offense come to him more. There was one pay where he basically didn’t get back, but it was only one. Baby steps.

We won convincing but the Knicks have one of the worst whistles in the league. I know I may sound biased but a lot of drives and plays that other team get the refs simply don’t call for the Knicks. It super frustrating to watch
