I’m not talking about the past, I mean this trade deadline. Someone like Kevon Looney or Christian Koloko.

No one will be 100% perfect for the role, but options exist.

I’m not sure that was feasible. Those guys aren’t easy to find. They had two slots they could fill and one was used for Yabu and one for Clarkson. Clarkson was offense first, but we definitely needed someone to boost our bench scoring and I’m happy with his hire. Yabu’s signing so far isn’t what people hoped, but if you squint you can sort of approximate the quote above, since he promised both three point shooting and a big rebounding body.

Not doing that was the mistake we made in the off season. They tried to improve an offense that was already very good despite suspect coaching of our talent when they should have brought in defenders.

We have exactly 5 legit defenders in our rotation, and all of them except Mitch with 25 played over 30 minutes tonight. When one of those players gets injured, it puts enough stress on the other 4 that things start to unravel. If 2 of them are injured, forget about it…

We all like that Brown uses a lot more tools in the toolbox than Thibs did. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you are always pick the right tool at the right time. In that sense, today was a great day for Mike Brown.
