not sure why we would trade any assets for taylor hendricks when we already have a better version of him on our roster and ready to play by the name of tosan evbuomwan cybersoze will be proud of quetas 19/18 last nite

With the clippers imploding, is there anyone on that team worth targeting in a trade?

Yeah, let’s trade for BOTH Kobes and for Cam Christie to have as many people named after other NBA players as possible.

kobe is definitely an nba-specific name cam not so much most likely available would be collins dunn batum

The only Clippers players I’d be remotely interested in bringing in are Lopez and CP3..and both of them aren’t playing up to their standards. I can’t tell if it’s because they’re washed or because that whole team is older and underachieving

    Poindexter, they are SO washed.

They were both decent old bench players who could give a bit of added value in limited minutes three years ago. They’ve been playing out their million-dollar contracts for a while now.

Heading to the game tonight with Lady Z-man (a ‘Nova alum) and our two lovely daughters who are both diehard Knicks fans (and often curse me for it!) Hoping for a competitive win, but would be happy with a win of any kind!

In a vacuum, I’d be interested in DJJr., Dunn, and/or Batum from the Clips, but there’s not really a deal framework that makes sense from our perspective unless we we’re willing to move one of our real pieces or trade 3 of our 4 end of bench guys. For example, Mitch + Dadiet works in the trade machine for Batum + DJJr/Dunn. But then we’re relying on Hukporti for the foreseeable future. Alternatively, Dadiet + Kolek + Huk works for either of Dunn/DJJr., but then we’re really thin at the end of the bench and have closed off the possibility of any age/experience-related internal improvement.

So it looks like we should keep our powder dry with respect to the Clips, unless there’s a buyout candidate. I’d be interested in nabbing Bagley, who can be had straight up for one of our kids/min contracts.

I’d probably pick up Lopez if he got bought out (pending a determination that he’s not actually washed), but I wouldn’t give anything up for him and I’d still want to trade for Bagley first.

Bagley can be a 16 mpg rotation big who can play the 4 & 5 (something we desperately need if Yabu ain’t that). Lopez is just an emergency 5 (which we kinda need, but not desperately).

Brown finding faith in Kolek has changed the math a little, though. Now the only guy Brown doesn’t want to play is Dadiet, and he’s a little too young to give up on without thought.

Mike Brown said OG Anunoby is doing on-court work. “We’re continuing to monitor him. Not going to rush him.”

    He’s doing 3-on-3 court work.

This is what different now. 30yrs ago if a player was able to go he didn’t take another 2-3 weeks off. Has nothing to do with number of games, schedule, travel or style of play. It’s all about career longevity.

I’ll continue with this as it seems to be working for the team, if not the player:

    Huk Huk!

Mitch has played 3:40 and leads all players in rebounds.

He as as many defensive rebounds as the Raptors do.

    Zubac @ 18M/yr is a huge steal…

KAT is so frustrating. It was obvious to everyone in the arena that Barnes was going to shoot that 3 and he stays away.

Will there ever be a fucking game that a Knicks opponent won’t go off and drill a bunch of 3s in a row.

If Knicks lose this game I’d be fine with firing everybody and tanking rest of the season…

I have decidedly mixed feelings over what just transpired as someone who owns an Immanuel Quickley jersey

We’re getting to the “prime Westbrook who shoots 40% from 3” part of the Josh hart seasonal calendar

Mike Brown gonna have some interesting decisions to make in the starting lineup once OG returns.

My “Hart just needs to get the damn surgery” confidence was misplaced. What can I say? I’m a Juris Doctor, not a medical one.

Kolek making some nice passes but IQ is absolutely smoking him off the dribble which lead to the back to back wide ass open 3s for Ingram.

Mitch with 2 points and 15 rebounds, 7 offensive. Love that guy.

    Basically repeating d-mar and Owen…

Not a fan of the Kolek-Clarkson backcourt.

I think the weakness of that combo is hurting Kolek’s playing time.

15 rebounds in 16 min for Mitch, 7 of them offensive boards. This is Rodman territory at this point.

Hahaha, sorry, guys, I thought I scheduled the game thread before I went out, but when I went to check, I see it was still just awaiting publication. My bad! And I was so good to schedule it ahead of time (I was going to be away from the computer all day). I’ll be sure to hit “publish” next time.

Here’s what my post said, and I like how well the game backed up what my post WOULD have been had I just actually clicked “schedule”:

Bizarrely enough, the Knicks host the Atlantic Division-leading Toronto Raptors today at the Garden.

The Raptors aren’t, like, GARBAGE, but no way that they’re better than the Knicks, so this will be a nice wake-up call for the Raptors.

    Let’s go, Knicks!

    Still feel great about 58!

If we can just keep Mitch healthy and progressing forward. And then unleash him before and during the playoffs, whether he starts or comes off the bench, but can play 20-25 minutes per game. Pound for pound he will dominate the glass and is a game changer on the offensive glass. Like was stated above, “Rodman like”. I want this team to stand pat. No trades. Let’s see what they can do. Even Yabusele looks less stuck in mud today. If that 3 ever starts dropping (Kolek as well), we are deep enough right now. I like what I see.

raptors without poetl are even smaller than us, couldn’t believe they started barnes at center, that was never gonna work…

nice to see yabujelly rounding in to form…

tyler kolek has been a huge upgrade this season, good on him, looked like he took the whole summer off doing something other than basketball…

he looks good now, him and KAT play well together…

mikal is locked in on defense…

it’ll be interesting to see who goes to the bench when OG returns…josh probably needs to stay starting..

was hoping to see mikal, OG, and KAT back at the 2, 3, and 4 spot where they excel…they are making it work though…

I think I saw Yabusele playing center for extended minutes. It didn’t look bad, but maybe it worked because the Raptors didn’t have a big lineup, especially with Poeltl out.
