i was thinking more in terms of his “personality” in college i believe he was viewed as a very hard worker disciplined etc. but he hasnt turned out to be that at least not in terms of his approach to his diet im not saying that hes a bad guy or anything he also had some weird thing with sex tapes porn star etc. obviously that doesnt make him a bad guy either i guess im just saying that i kinda remember him being seen as squeaky clean in college

I dunno, I think Zion has mostly turned out the way people were thinking. Everyone assumed that his health was going to be the biggest concern, and that HAS been his biggest concern, right?

Isn’t it funny how you just can never tell how players will react as PEOPLE x amount of years into their careers? When D’Angelo Russell was a prospect, one of the APPEALS of him was that he was so mature. And then he has been a decidedly IMmature guy in the NBA.

Similarly, how could you tell as a prospect that Jalen Brunson would be as dedicated as he has become? How could you POSSIBLY know that one way or the other? How could you know that Ja Morant would mature BACKWARDS as a person?

It’s such a bizarre crapshoot to pick players.

The Colorado Rockies were pretty much the last MLB team standing that had not embraced modern analytics. Not coincidentally they have also been baseball’s shittiest team in recent years.

They finally threw in the towel. They hired Paul Depodesta, one of the main characters in Moneyball, to run the team.

OG’s play seems pretty sustainable to me, maybe the 3PT% comes down a bit, but nothing he’s doing seems freaky. As to his injury history, sure, he’s missed a bunch of games, but all from stuff that are of the “when you recover you’re as good as new” variety. He played 3400+ minutes in 92 games last year. Seems like he’s as healthy as pretty much anyone else right now.

The guy who seems unsustainably outlier-ish is Bridges. He’s mostly playing background music but doing it impeccably well.
