For sure. All those National TV contracts just eat up local telecasts. It’s bad for fans of a particular team because it makes it very hard to watch all or most of your team’s games because you need so many subscriptions to do so. It’s good for gamblers because there is always something to bet on that is on TV. I think it’s one reason Dolan is mad at the league. The National stuff has really hurt MSG.

Up until that point, it sure seemed like MSG was grooming him for the gig. Since then, they’ve brought in Jamal and now Novak, they’ve had Hahn do games, etc.

To me, Monica McNutt would be the ideal successor, but it sounds like she has her eyes on a more national platform.
