Dadiet wasn’t particularly high on my draft board, but I’d probably prefer keeping him to Kolek just because there’s “if you squint” upside there. Of course, the hang up might be that we can’t find a taker for Kolek without sweetener, while someone is willing to take Dadiet of our hands.

In the end, the sweetener part will be the deciding factor. But if everything else is equal, I would part with Dadiet. I think we have more redundancy in Dadiet’s position than in Kolek’s. I am really happy to take a flyer with Brogdon, but he misses a third of the games in his “healthy” seasons and he might not be healthy. And after Brunson, we have a few not-quite PGs, which would be best served with an additional ballhandler in the lineup.

This theory assumes that experienced players actually want to play for the Knicks even as a third string, which is mind boggling for a long time Knicks fan, but it could be.

And Alan, you could be right that the Knicks will make a trade if some of these guys pan out do they can keep more than one, but I honestly don’t think Kolek or Dadiet will fetch draft picks, so I’m not sure how they do that

Hubert, you’re nuts about Precious – he is unreliable no matter what highlights he contributes from time to time. Huk has looked far better, with more potential, and is cheap. Also, he’s an actual center, not aPF who can’t shoot, and that could make a difference.

And I’m probably too high on Precious because he was so good in game 4 against the Sixers. If we put Huk in that spot Embiid is stealing his lunch money.

Some of the best defense I’ve seen in a long time. I don’t think Precious can sustain that level of play.

Then again, maybe he just needs a coach that runs switch more than 6min at the end of a playoff game or 6 games against the Celtics in the playoffs with zero practice.

I see Nnaji as a total stiff who will never play a meaningful minute in the NBA, but he’s young so hey, you never!

He definitely looked like a stiff to me too, but I’m hoping it was the back issue that kept him from playing more minutes.

If nothing else he’s big and sometimes that’s enough. Given KAT & Mitch’s injury history he might be needed at some point (or we just cut him and find the next Skapinstev).

The starting lineup of Brunson, Deuce, Bridges, OG and KAT is good but is it championship level?

Of course this might alter the look of historic threads, at least the tail end of them. But let the people who end up writing PhDs and books about Knickerblogger worry about that…
