One concern with Dink is that he can’t finish at all with his left hand. As scoring wings go, in most cases, this significantly lowers a non-elite defender’s ceiling. There are a few exceptions, Manu being the most notable one (although I think lefties have an inherent advantage in this regard. RJ was very left-hand dominant, and still is to a degree, but he’s obviously worked very hard on his right-hand finishing and has improved quite a bit.)

Dink looked pretty darned athletic out there, but his combine measurements were not all that impressive. He had a 24.5″ standing vertical, a 32.5″ max vertical, and was unimpressive in the 3/4 court sprint.

I would be happy to have him on a 2-way, but it would probably be a waste to offer that rookie deal to him. He needs a LOT of work. Now he’s only 19, so there’s definitely a chance for development, and the dunks both in summer league and in his G-League highlights suggest that his vertical is better than what they were measured at. And who knows, maybe he’s still growing!

I think summer league is one reason we still have two roster spots to fill. How could one predict that Pate would be more appealing to sign than, say, Nnaji. Summer league gives you some information on how to fill the end of your bench.

That seems like a good pickup for the Lakers if Smart can still provide good defense

fakers have 2 really good players, reaves and not a lot more…lots of bargain basement ball players…newbie coach still…

luka and lebron will both probably miss like 20 games each…

no doubt cdiggy will have a much better time next nba season than his faker fan faculty friends…
