Just watched Hoosiers again on a flight out to LA. Are we sure Thibs didn’t use this movie as his bible? Hackman has no life outside of basketball, refuses to use his bench unless he has no choice — and in one game insists on playing with only 4 players to make a point — and on the final play of the championship game, the only play he can think of is to put his best guy at the top of the key for some heroball.

I don’t love Trent either. He’s (maybe) fine for that price, but it’d be a waste of the TP-MLE, assuming he’d even want to come here.

of course i will learn to like him because he is now on my beloved knicks but at the moment i am not happy about this and there is a part of me that still hopes that he is not on our opening day roster i also do not like knowing that our hero breen does not want him here either but if he steps on the floor for us and becomes oakaak i will cheer for him as much as i cheer for everyone else

Nah Trent Jr. is hot garbage. At least Clarkson can do a few other things besides shoot threes… that’s literally all Trent does (and not at a very high rate last year).

Yeah Clarkson is terrible defensively, but he gives you a pretty good approximation of Brunson for 2 minutes per quarter: can score from anywhere on the floor, pass decently, and has a good handle/can get the ball up the floor easily.

Trent Jr. is basically Shamet, who we already have for the minimum (hopefully).
