if i remember right they played well the second half of last season…

unfortunately, I don’t think Boston is gonna suck all that much, they’ll probably win at least 48 games or so next regular season…

Seems to me like they’re resetting their money and only taking back one-year deals to coincide with when Tatum comes back. Probably smart.

I just checked out the Blazers’ roster and boy, what a mess. Ayton makes $35.5M and is washed. Inexplicable Toyko 2020 gold-medalist Jerami Grant is extra washed, but $96M left on his contract. Then a bunch of guys who aren’t overpaid (Avdija, Rob Williams) but not needle-movers. Oh, and Scoot Henderson, who I, in a rare miss, once called a future superstar.

Don’t really understand the move for anyone but the accounting team at TD Garden.

Veteran leadership? They looked KIND of feisty last year, no?

Avdija is going to see an explosion in scoring and possibly win MIP or make a 3rd team, but Simons was a big part of their solidly-below-average flashes of mediocrity. Replacing that with a rapidly-deteriorating Jrue doesn’t help them get better on offense, IMO, and they were pretty bad at scoring this year. They need some salary to clear at the end of 2026 and make some splashes in free agency.

Jrue is being rerouted elsewhere, right? He makes very little sense on that team.
