I have close friends whose insurance carriers dropped them 3 weeks before the fire. So they are in post-Isiah era rebuild mode.

Glad you’re covered, but this happened to a friend of mine. She’s a pretty well-off, powerful person in film, so she’s going after the insurance company, but said it’s like a part-time job, chasing/threatening different people every single day. The whole thing is outrageous, and I really feel for those who lost everything…and their insurance.

I am in an apartment building for now, riding the elevators with fellow tenant SAS (I will wear my Pacers cap when I find it, just as a conversation piece). Still own the land, which is being cleared of debris as I type, so have skin in the burn zone. Will proceed forward in rebuilding until a better situation presents itself. Still have young kids, so tied to the general community. Otherwise, I’d be living in the Bahamas by now.
