I do agree that expectations have changed and a real path to the finals is realistic as it’s ever been, but honestly I’m already happy. I’ve never thought we would beat one of the best Boston teams in recent history in 6 games, in the way we did, so anything beyond this is really gravy.

Of course I’ll be angry if we lose, I hate the fucking Pacers, but eventually It’ll pass and ill just be happy.

If we were told at the start of the season we were going to get to the ECF, I think almost everyone would have said we had a successful season. But the expectation coming in was that the gap between us and Boston was still large and that we’d have to avoid them to get there. As the season developed we also figured the Cavs to be a problem. Now that we’ve beaten the Celtics, the Cavs flamed out due to injuries and OKC is looking more human, I think the expectations are higher. The Pacers are going to be really tough, but we have home court. We are the favorite. We are not a big favorite, but we are the favorite. If we don’t beat them it will be a disappointment in an otherwise successful season. At least it showed we are very close to a title and there’s a path to get better via the bench and these guys playing together for another year.

I’d have to say this was our best two way performance of the year.

We were all wondering how much Mitch would help assuming he even made it back to 100% for the playoffs. I was hopeful, but he has exceeded my expectations.

The gap between him and Simms or Precious is huge and being able to play with Towns is a huge plus given our defensive issues.

Not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but this team can be a lot better with a full year of Mitch and a couple of upgrades on the bench.
