the seriously tragic story about what just happened to yank legend Brett Gardner spooked me a bit…

i worry just to worry, but never really considered the chance of something tragic on a family vacation occurring, that it so heartbreaking…okay, I actually consider all kinds of terrible shit happening, all the time, but that’s more of an autonomous processing thing going on in the background…bad stuff seems a bit random at times….

almost never not a heartbreaking moment for someone’s passing…my dad did find peace, life had turned pretty sour on him though…

no matter the age, we’re all somebody’s child…the mention of the word child and son in the story shook me up, plus it being a public figure I enjoyed watching perform for a very long time…

brett gardner was like an “every man” type of athlete…like if you were incredibly strong, and determined…

his family and so many others having to work through waves and waves of grief…

thankful now for being able to invest more focus/time in to my relationships, time well spent for sure…

Thibs did exactly that. Payne played thirty minutes and Kolek played eighteen.

I know, I saw the box score. I wasn’t suggesting Thibs did anything wrong and was in fact defending his use/lack thereof of Kolek prior to last night (I do have other unrelated Thibs grievances).

OT: silver lining of my flight being delayed is I got to both finish Adolescence and read Alan’s excellent review of an excellent, utterly gutting show.
