I watched some of the Bucks game and paid particular attention to Sims. It was weird. He did get rebounds and got by far the most rebounds per minute of anyone in the game, but he had a bad plus minus. I noticed that other Bucks would to pass it to him in the paint but the passes to him didn’t work. This wasn’t totally Sins fault. He was often surrounded by Cavs snd the passes were low and difficult for him to reach or got picked off on the way to him. Once the Cavs got the turnover they usually scored. That’s got to be bad for your plus minus. Part of it was probably the Cavs defense but it seems like also the Bucks aren’t very good at passing. They only had 16 assists for the whole game. I don’t know their season stats, so maybe this is a false impression on my part, but they didn’t look good this game.

Baseball is random sometimes, wouldn’t shock me if the Yanks won the division. The Yankees will need an extra dominant season from the bullpen now as they will be going to them in the 4th inning a lot this season..

Bummer injury for the Mets today too, as Francisco Alvarez will need surgery on his hamate bone and will miss 6-8 weeks. You don’t always fully recover from that injury either. Catcher is the one position where the Mets don’t really have depth.

Yasmani Grandal is still out there as a free agent, and he’s ostill a good defensive catcher despite his advancing age. Probably worth kicking the tires on that guy, might be able to still give you 1-2 WAR.

He probably should have had surgery after the WS, he was barely holding on last year. I guess that’s easy for me to say, but I would have been shocked if he made it through this season.
