Anunoby isn't eligible to be traded until January 15. Check back in with me then.

In any event, it's bizarre to defend against Leon's dissipation of assets with "don't talk about really good, available players who are really hard to the Knicks to acquire because Leon dissipated all the assets."

Writ large, to move the needle up where most (not all) of us want it to go means trading Anunoby, Bridges, Brunson or Towns for better players. That's what happens when you singe the asset chest. If you like those four dudes for their own sake and are happy with quality basketball short of contention, you'll enjoy watching them.(*) But that isn't the audience I'm addressing.

(*) At least until Mikal's contract runs out after next year.

If it comes to pass, all there is to do is hope we sell Brunson & KAT near their peak to accumulate the draft capital necessary to compete with Presti in the future.

Sorry but when have we as a franchise ever sold high on anything? We buy high. Sometimes in the Leon era we at least buy low. But we always, always, always sell low on everything, ever. We'll ride Brunson & Towns into the ground and be an assetless/pickless tanking team before 2030.
