As to Mitch, it’s hard to figure whether his slow recovery is a bad or a good thing. Hopefully it’s the latter…they are fine with our record and don’t want to rush him back like they did during the playoffs. But did he have a setback? Is he just stalling another inevitable surgery?

I guess with these guys, we’ll never know until we know.

These guys are valuable trade chips at worst, and impactful defensive contributors at best. I am really looking forward to seeing what kind of impact Precious has, especially as a solid minutes eater. It would be nice if we can get all of the starters down below 36mpg.

All of that said, we could really use an impactful scoring wing off the bench. Shamet, Warren, anyone. Just not Matt Ryan or Pacome Dadiet. Meaning, someone Thibs might actually consider playing.

The most positive thing about the Knicks right now is that they aren’t depending on either young, inexperienced players or old, fragile hangers-on. It’s a core of mid-prime hungry vets who have some playoff experience and aren’t going to get all caught up in the early season hype.

They haven’t really proven much yet, other than they are a team to be reckoned with. Which is fine! Just stay healthy, roll with the punches, and be ready for the playoffs.

Our offense is as good as anyone’s in the league. The defense is beginning to trend in the right direction, but there’s still a long way to go to feel like we have a top 10 defense.
