That’s funny, i never thought about it, but it makes perfect sense, can’t have romantic nights if the sun is still up. 😀

It is crazy – I spent August in a tiny town on the border of Norway rehearsing with the World Youth Choir when I was, well, young. I remember taking a girl out for what I hoped would be a romantic midnight row on a lake, and it was bright as the afternoon and not at all romantic. Alas.

Norway! I love the winters, the snow, the cold… there’s a city inside the polar circle – Tromsø – that i know a lot about how life is there. They even have polar night in the winter for one month and midnight sun in the summer. That must be crazy. It’d be my dream 2nd place to live… but it’ll never happen because everything is super expensive in Norway, at least from the view of a portuguese. For americans it might be ok. 😉

Oh, and Norway is kind of like Portugal and Ireland, we’re the last countries to the west having only one european country as neighbors. Europe often forgets that we exist and that’s why we both decided to sail and conquer the (rest of the) world. 😀

Assuming it can’t be Norway, i think i’d go to São Tomé and Principe (i don’t know if there’s an english name for their country), it was a portuguese colony, and they like us there. It’s two islands in the middle of the Atlantic. They are very poor and it’d be good to try and help them to have a better life.

First, I loved OG since before we traded for him. No one wanted him more than me. I thought he was exactly what this team needed at the time.

Coming into this season I mentioned two areas where I thought he should try to improve.

1. His handle
2. Finishing at the rim in non dunk situations

Based on what I am seeing, his suspect handle has improved enough to make him more of a threat off the bounce, but he’s still suspect finishing unless he dunks. He loses control and when he gets fouled he doesn’t finish too often.

Still, right now he’s scoring well and at his highest TS%. I like what I see so far. I think he’s improved a hair on offense and the defense has been stellar, especially lately. IMO, huge impact player.

He’ll never get the scoring stats you want on this team because he’s a 3a option. That’s not what’s he’s being asked to do. He’s being asked to defend at an elite level, score efficiently on moderate volume, space the floor, and anything else you can add. If he does what’s being asked, he’s worth every penny.

There are only so many shots in a game. We have scorers.

Don’t worry. He’ll have one game where he’s 1-10, plays sloppy and doesn’t defend well and we’ll get 300 posts about how overpaid he is and what a bad trade that was.

I’ll tell you what… if 24-6-2 becomes his averages and he plays 65 games, I will admit I was wrong about him being overpaid.

Til then, his bloated contract is a big reason our rotation is so short right now. Which, ironically, will probably lead to him getting injured bc he plays too many minutes.

Won’t be too long before people realize he is better than Trae

The host went on to say Fields probably wants to trade Trae, but that he’s stuck with him because he’s the face of a franchise with a low-iq fanbase (their Melo), and because he doesn’t think anybody would even trade for him because of his contract, various aprons, and fit.

But damn I don’t miss his turnovers or rants at the refs while the ball was in play.
