It served Dubois well to take on tough opponents early in his career, even though he lost a couple of tough fights. He’s 27, young for a heavyweight, and he has a lot of experience now. He probably can’t beat Usyk but Usyk isn’t going to be around forever. In a couple of years Dubois is going to be the top dog. The only other heavyweights on the horizon who might challenge him someday are Jalolov and Teremoana Junior, but Jalolov is three years older than Dubois and Teremoana is only a year younger, and they’re both miles behind in terms of pro experience.

Yeah Dubois was strong, but it’s not like he was some wizard out there… Joshua just keep putting his big ol face out in the open.

Usyk does seem at a whole other level than those other guys as a tactical fighter, that’s for sure.

Joshua just could not avoid a punch to save his life. Usyk going 4-0 against Fury/Joshua/Dubois after moving up from cruiserweight is pretty baller.

I just realized we have the better of the Boston and Memphis 2nd round picks in the upcoming draft.

Obviously Boston’s pick will be trash, but if Memphis can’t stay healthy again, or Ja can’t keep his gun in his pants, it could wind up in a solid draft slot (before Leon shuffles it down to 59th).

It’s our only pick this year, but it’s nice to have any draft capital left at this point.

I saw that Ringer article. Quiet summers won’t be unusual anymore. You know how hard it’s going to be to make trades with these stupid aprons?

It used to be simple: can you get within 20% salaries. Now it’s “Team A used the MLE so they can’t take back $1 more; Team B can’t aggregate players because they re-signed their best player” and so on.
