Maybe Draymond should have been a little more self aware than to alienate the best scoring wing in the history of the game who was a perfect fit for his team, not sucker punched a teammate, kicked numerous players in the nutsack costing a ring and not choking another player missing 20 games this season.

Just wanted to take a moment to apologize to the many people that I annoy here. Maybe only Alan will get this reference, but I often relate hard to a quote from Nate Fisher on the great HBO show, Six Feet Under: “I just feel like all I do, all day long, is just manage myself, try to fuckin’ connect with people. But it’s like, no matter how much energy you pour into getting to the station on time, or getting on the right train, there’s still no fuckin’ guarantee that anybody’s gonna be there for you to pick you up when you get there.”

My day-to-day life often feels like endless duty, responsibility, and self-control. Having by degrees given up almost all of my many vices, I do lean hard on the Knicks, and this place. Yet, I have so many useless feelings and desires and passions that have nowhere to go. The team, and this place, helps me get that energy out in one of the least self-destructive ways available. This is just about the only place where I get to be immature any more.

Rationally and dispassionately, we may still win the series. If we don’t, that’s fine. It’s just fun to have something to look forward that isn’t massively consequential, but we get to pretend together that it is.
